Learn all about baby Kratos via the medium of comics photo

Kratos is so angry all the time. Killing and rampaging and killing some more. Sure we're told it's because of his want for revenge on the Gods, but I think any good psychologist would tell us that the real issues started at childhood. Maybe when mommy and daddy fought in front of little Kratos or perhaps dad wasn't around enough. It sounds like some serious issues were developed long before the games take place. Thanks to a new six part comic coming out on March 31 we're going to find out the sordid details of the childhood of Kratos.

While I'm envisioning a bobblehead style, childlike Kratos running around with his best pals solving mysteries with the gang I'm thinking writer Marv Wolfman and artist Andrea Sorrentino are probably going to take it a bit more seriously. The comic was originally supposed to land last October, but maybe the launch date of this comic could give us a hint at the actual release date for God of War III as well. Nah, probably not.

If they're doing Kratos Babies, get the guy who draws Mini-Marvels to do it. That would be awesome.

Is this going to be considered canonical to the series? If so, it could be very interesting. I've always wondered who Kratos's mother was...

I am reminded of a line from Stephen Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series that I fittingly read last night.

"And what about him? What's his name again? Throatslitter? Did his ma decide on that for her little one, do you think?"

"Can't say," Balm replied, "Give a toddler a knife and who knows what'll happen."

Guess we're going to find out with this comic, aren't we?

I just hope it shines more light on Kratos's brother... Seriously, Kratos was strong, his brother was weak. Kratos was a slave, his brother was a victim. Kratos earned his freedom, his brother became strong forged in hades. Let's get back to THAT storyline and see how exactly Kratos entered slavery.

Kratos isn't born, he fucking explodes out of the chest of his mother! Out of the gory hole of a corpse emerges the generic smoldering rage of Baby Kratos!

This actually has some great potential if it follows the story line that was alluded too in the extra video in the first God Of War.

I bet Kratos as a baby would kick my ass as an adult.

The series didn't ship yet? Well, that explains why I never heard anything about it for months.

This was very misleading when I searched for it online:

http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s97/Mr_Highwind/God%20of%20War/god_of_war_03.jpg

"Written by Marv Wolfman, art by Jon Bosco, cover by Andy Park.

Kratos' epic quest continues! In this issue, Kratos battles Poseidon, man-eating spiders and -- most importantly -- his own heart. He'll also learn it's much harder to kill a monster the second time around...

32 pages, $3.99, in stores on Dec. 2."

Let me guess,
he had a beautiful childhood with singing, dancing, crafting and picking up flowers!

Maybe we will get to know how he was sexually abused brutally by Zeus, hades and Poseidon.

I think the real question here is: Why is he speaking from his EYE?!

I have this image of a tattoo'd baby laying in a crib, with two resting parents... when all of a sudden the baby looks towards the heavens and yells in full, rageful Kratos tone: "MOMMY! I'M TIRED OF MY DIAPER BEING FORESAKEN WITH THE CONTENTS OF MY BOWELS. RELEASE ME FROM MY SMELLY BOUNDS IMMEDIATELY!"

I'd buy that.
