Here's a quick sneak peek at some God of War III gameplay. Make sure you watch it quickly, because Sony is sure to get it yanked from Youtube. For the time being, this sneaky slice of God of War III footage has made its way into the public domain thanks to a sneaky midnight creeper, and it looks quite exciting.
The most amusing part is the bit where the voiceover guy quite clearly says: "Please no filming." The game itself looks exactly how you'd expect -- more of the same, but with prettier graphics. That is by no means a bad thing, either. Anyway, check it out after the jump while it's here.

Meet the rest of the team
I doubt this will be in the game. This is just a small demo to show what the guy was talking about in his GDC presentation titled "Practical SPU usage in GOW3".
looks good, and is he actually riding that cyclops to wipe out the smaller monsters? that'd be interesting. Other than that and maybe a couple similar minor gameplay innovations, same old is good enough, GoW II already tweaked all there was to tweak.
Looks king of boring, unfortunately. I know there need to be new methods of defeating enemies in the game, but the whole 'ride a cyclops' aspect just seems like something they're force you to do or you won't be able to get past the current area. I'm hoping it will be optional and not forced.

I'd like to blame the camera that filmed that clip, also I'd like to blame YouTube, but the game looks framie when Kratos rides the cyclops. This might mean nothing considering we're watching a beta (or maybe Alpha?) version of the game.
So far it looks the same as the first two titles, which, in my opinion, is great and might be the reason for me to buy a PS3.
Hmm, not very very impressive? I'm sure it's still a fine game though.
And "The game itself looks exactly how you'd expect -- more of the same, but with prettier graphics. That is by no means a bad thing, either" this is ok for God of War III but not for RE5? ;)
i thought it looked great aside from the looped animation. but they also have a long time to optimize the hell outta it, they don't need to but they can. its GOW3!
I know its an alpha build probably, but the graphics look like they're on par with the rest of the games on the market (at best) and the low framerate makes the hair on my neck stand on end.
It wasn't directed to you Jim, more to the general "baww" about RE5 'mostly' being RE4 with better graphics and therefore sucking for some weird reason :)
Well, a cam of a screen in a room probably doesn't do it any favours as far as seeing the nitty-gritty details, but boy, the gameplay and everything else we can see in that clip looks like the PS2 GoW2.

Same as it ever was
Same old T___T...this is nothing new
More of the same is a good thing, considering how amazing the first two games were.
I agree.

Why are you saying that to one of RE5's biggest defenders?
lets do it
ride it
my pony
my saddles waiting.
Looks great, glad I got to see it before it got yanked.
(I also enjoy RE5)
That took forever to get in GOW 2, I dont want to start out with the blades again...
Stupid ass monsters.
