Are you totally pumped for the release of Killzone 2? Have you been raging on internet forums over the completely unfair scores it has been receiving in the press? Can you simply not wait to get your hands on it and are resorting to bidding on promo copies currently for sale on eBay?
Well, you may want to reconsider that last one. In a message board post at PlayStation.com, Guerilla Games QA manage, Seth Downie, has warned those looking to score an early copy of Killzone 2 that they may not be able to play the multiplayer component with these discs. If the copy of Killzone 2 is not the final build of the game, players will, "at no point be able to go online with it."
A quick scan of US eBay has not turned up any auctions with promo versions of the game, but a few have been spotted on the UK version of the auction site. So, for our friends across the pond, buyer beware is in full-effect.

Anyways, I don't get the obsession with characters and story for a shooting-based game. Personally, my favorite games will all required great character progression and a detailed story, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good shooting romp. Killzone 2 has terrible writing all around, but the demo was fun as hell. I won't buy it, but that doesn't mean it's worth pennies.
I got bored or Serious sam after lke 30mins as the character and story were lame!
Look at Duke 3d he was awesome, made the game more enjoyable.
I hope Killzone 2 lives up to the hype, my friend the only one with a PS3 is getting all excited and using up his "u wont be able to get it" cards all in one go. Hes like 26 aswell...childish i know but the lack of solid replay valued title for PS3 is scarce and thi sis what its brought him too!

Disagree. I'm a 360 fan, but I don't hate PS3.
And as for this article, that's a smart thing to not include the online portion of the game in the promo copy. I bet the prices of the promo copies will suddenly drop on ebay.

That was a demo that lasted for like 7 minutes. You can't judge a game based on a demo that short.
The multiplayer is where this game will really shine, which sucks for people who actually bought the leaked copies. I haven't played the beta, but from what I've heard from people on here, it's absolute gold.
Resistance 2 ain't half bad but I guess you're leaning toward Left 4 Dead and Halo3.. fair play, I do love my FPS games, but you weren't specific about those first time. I mean, PS3 has MGS4 and Uncharted. Examples of two good, replay value-ish games.
