It’s almost time to get wet in LittleBigPlanet. The oft-teased Water update and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" content are scheduled to hit PSN on December 22nd.
We should add that these two bits are intertwined, a combined piece of DLC. In a recent Media Molecule blog post, the crew revealed the name of the content and also spilled its innards so we could peek at what exactly this downloadable thing has in store for the LBP faithful.
The pack is called “The Pirates of the Caribbean Preium Level Kit.” Along with giving people the ability to play around with water and also put water in their levels, it dishes out a ton of "Pirates of the Caribbean"-themed content: stickers, materials, music, unique narrative and six levels. On the side, there will be several costumes to choose from, including this little Davy Jones number.
Check out the video above for a better look, or even venture below to see some images. If you want a glimpse at the costumes, head over here.
The water update should be free. Not a fan of the Pirates DLC (or Pirates Of the Caribbean in general), but looks like I have no choice if I want to use water in my levels.
I've been looking for more professional levels from MM for a while now, and with the added water this is definitely a purchase for me. As long as there are MM levels in the pack.
Meh, this game has always had me on the edge of finally buying a PS3, and if this expansion actually had fluid physics i'd do it. What a dissapointment.
Even AquaForest on the iPhone can manage fluid physics..
@Baleur: What do you mean? LBP has some of the best side-scrolling physics I've ever seen. Unless you mean literally fluid physics, as in good water physics. Which we'd have no idea about until actually playing the game.
I don't even have LBP yet, but I'm planning on buying this. I really like the first movie. The second movie had super fun action sequences, but the story was meh. And the third one.... Let's not talk about this.

Bleh, at least I also get more materials to use.
I guess I thought it would be pourable to make interesting puzzles.
But who knows - it might still be awesome?
