Maybe you've heard of Juanes, maybe you haven't. I suppose it depends on where you live and what circles you run in, because apparently the dude is a huge Latin music rock star, and his music is making its debut in Rock Band in July.
A six song pack of Juanes songs will hit the Rock Band Music Store on July 27 and will include: "A Dios le Pido," "Fijate Bien," "Gotas de Agua Dulce," "La Camisa Negra," "Mala Gente," and "Yerbatero." They will mark the first time a Spanish language track was made available for download on the Rock Band Music Store, and Juanes is pleased. No, no… he's thrilled.
"I am thrilled to be the first Spanish-language artist in Rock Band," he says, confirming me saying just earlier that he is indeed thrilled, before commenting on his excitement. "I'm excited for my fans to connect with the songs right in their living rooms and to bring Latin Music to new fans as well."
The six song track pack will run you $9.99/800 MS Points, or you can get individual songs for $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points a piece. If you can hold out to hear Juanes' music in Rock Band, just wait until Rock Band 3 hits stores this October -- one of his songs, "Me Enamora" will be included on the disc.

Got the feeling he should be more on the lines of Lips. And even as I truly enjoy some Mana music (specialy the drums), I'm really wondering where the real spanish rockers are. What about La Castañeda? La Cuca? Soda Stereo? Caramelos de Cianuro? Caifanes/Jaguares? Charly Garcia? Los Prisioneros?
I'm sorry Harmonix, as happy as you made me with the CCR pack, I'm starting to wonder if you are losing your taste. I'm not condemning Juanes, just asking if may you have something more... rock-ish?.
and about the songs in LIPS... i don't know any of the bands... i live in latina america and i don't know who La Castañeda? La Cuca? Soda Stereo? Caramelos de Cianuro? Caifanes/Jaguares? Charly Garcia? Los Prisioneros? are.
only one song about soda stereo but that's it.
they're more spanish(from spain) songs, but not latin american. rock band is awesome because it has latin songs.
ROCK BAND FTW!!!.
You say that you live in latin america and you don't nothing about the bands/singers that you pasted in your post?
Shame on you. Specially for Soda Stereo, who are from Argentina, because they defined an original sound and style that has been admired in many parts of latin america.
Even that Juanes is a nice addition, I hope that in the next batch they put Soda Stereo, Los fabulosos Cadillacs, Caifane/Jaguares, Maldita vencidad, Cafe tacuba and something other pioners of the latin american rock.
Gracias totales.
I'm not mexicanese, btw.

!Quiero El Son del Dolor¡
@Xhumation: Son del Dolor or Amo-Odio would be great Cuca tracks in RB.
Here's a couple of handfuls of bands/artists that I could imagine seeing in RB:
Spain: Hombres G, Heroes del Silencio.
Argentina: Soda Stereo, Enanitos Verdes, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Bersuit Vergarabat, Miguel Mateos.
Chile: Los Prisioneros, Los Tres, Los Bunkers
Colombia: Aterciopelados
Venezuela: Los Amigos Invisibles
Mexico: Cafe Tacuba, El Tri, Caifanes/Jaguares.
