Hopefully you still have access to the full melee combat moveset during gunfights. One of my favorite things to do in games like Dead to Rights and True Crime is to run up on somebody and beat the crap out of them before they get a shot off.
Also, I like the gun noise.
its almost like a mix of gta and SR. serious in story, over the top in action with out the dick and fart jokes.
Sounds good and looks good. Hopefully this ends up being a quality release. If Square Enix can pull it off, I think it's a good sign for the company in the future. Shows they're finally starting to get their budget and dev schedules together, especially with a project that was in a good deal of trouble. Plus it'll make Activision look pretty stupid. Still wish they would have bought the True Crime name, though.
Also: I have no idea what you're crying about with the gun sounds in the trailer. Honestly.
The game wasn't even True Crime from the beginning, the True Crime name was the second name it got before it became Sleeping Dogs, glad they dropped it.
soo many games coming out like Tekken Tag 2, DOA5, ZOE HD Collection, Ni No Kuni etc
I realize that the game started as Black Lotus before Activision applied the True Crime name in order to get it better press and potentially better sales. I've never stated anything to the contrary. Clearly it was a good idea and that's why the game was so talked about before, during, and after its initial cancellation.
Otherwise it would have just ended up like Eight Days. If you don't know what I'm talking about right now, that's the point. Square Enix only bought the rights to the game because it was going to be the next True Crime. They're hoping people keep the association without having to fork over the money for the name brand. Just like what Monolith and WB Interactive was hoping with Fear 2 back when it was just called "Project Origin" because Vivendi had the rights before the Activision merger.
All that aside, there's an entire generation of now college kids who have very fond memories of the albeit mediocre True Crime games last generation, and that alone would be great marketing buzz. Buzz which they currently do not have. It really comes down to whether or not you want this game to have a sequel, and whether you'd be willing to throw a name brand on it in order to get one.
