The latest and perhaps final video in Sony's Evolution of PlayStation series is specifically about games rather than the hardware they were designed to run on. Hitting on the divide between games being viewed as toys and games being seen as much more, this installment highlights Gran Turismo as a defining title.
It's surprising how many properties don't get mentioned in this video, though I suppose that it's not intended to be definitive by any means. Projects with experimental gameplay like Flower, Shadow of the Colossus, The Unfinished Swan, Journey, and Wonderbook are all mentioned by name. Wonderbook would get mentioned, wouldn't it?
"PlayStation more than any other platform is striving to change how we experience games and continues to push the boundaries of play." Sounds like they're priming us for whatever is going to be announced tomorrow.
