Latest screens of The Pitt DLC pack more Auto-Axe lovin' photo

Bethesda, you sure know how to pick 'em. You dish out three screenshots for your Fallout 3 downloadable content at a time, but you always manage to make each one really count. Take these images for The Pitt (800 Microsoft Points -- Xbox 360 and PC), for instance.

I have been trying my hardest to avoid losing it by bringing this conversation down to "that's awesome," but what else can be said? One of the screens is a great shot of The Pitt's industrial landscape complete with smokestacks on the horizon. Another shows a giant hole, which I assume is "the pitt."

But then we get to the third picture, the one with the the Trog and the Auto-Axe from a first-person perspective. That's when I give up, and pull out my wallet. I hope you enjoy sleeping on your piles of cash tonight, Bethesda.

I refuse to buy this, or any other Fallout 3 expansion unless Bethesda puts it on PS3!

Hurm. The visual style is pretty...pretty orange, but regardless I love me some Fallout 3 and will definitely get this at some point.

When my PC gets fixed I just might have to buy Fallout 3 for the PC just so I can play these expansions. Either that or hope Satan starts handing out snow cones in hell... oh... and they make their way to the PS3 before Fallout 4 is released.

I also wish for this to release on ps3. I understand exclusivity, but come on already.

Looks great though. With such an incredibly diverse and dynamic set of building blocks, I hope they continue to release DLC for this game. I just hope I'm not left sitting out in the cold forever, with all my ps3 toting brethren...

@ Timstuff You're hardly refusing to pay for it when you don't have the choice.

I personally had more "fun" on Fallout 1 and 2. I know this is a better game, but they were just so much fun, endless options.

I think I played way too much Oblivion to get really attached to this skinned version.

It was way too choppy and unpredictable.

I've been having fun with Fallout 3 for a while, and bought the Anchorage DLC against my better judgement but I think I might pass on this thing. The combat in Fallout 3 is lacklustre in the extreme and gets staler the more you play. That, with most of the writing being pretty hammy means it'll take more than a few screens of a new weapon to get me to part with my cash.

I'm glad I've got the PC version though, I've had waaaay more mileage than if I had gotten it for my 360 thanks to the wealth of mods.

Maybe they should create a more exciting combat system and workable 3rd person camera, I'd definitely buy that.

@Timstuff

Is that because you only have the PS3 version?

I still think they should patch the end and have me come back to life as some human looking radiation man so I can continue playing and leveling up.
They should have me come back to life at the end of the game as Dr. Manhattan.

That would be an awesome ending.

Wait, working smoke stacks? So a bunch of raiders and slavers in the Pitt have managed to bring back industrial production while the BoS are still picking up broken flashlights in DC? Way to go there guys. Of course, maybe its just a giant cannibal cook-off, which would make sense.

In any case, I'm going to nuke sooooo many raiders...

If it shows up on PS3 I might grab it. Otherwise I guess the money will remain in my pocket. But I'm not angry over exclusive dlc. If microsoft shelled out more money to keep me from buying it than bethesda would have made selling it to me, then more power to them.

With Killzone 2 and RE5, there's too much fun to be had to spend time worrying about greedy companies.

@timstuff and other PS3 Fallout 3 fans:

I hear they're releasing a PS3-exclusive set of DLC for Fallout 3. It's called "Dogmeat Armor."

I have the PS3 version, but I might trade it in for the 360 version so I can play the DLC. Yes, I love the game that much.
