You know what today is, don't you? An average, boring Wednesday. But exactly one week from now? Why that's the day Banjo-Tooie comes out on Xbox LIVE Arcade, of course.
At 1200 Microsoft Points, I can understand how some of you might be hesitant to purchase the game, especially if you already own the N64 cartridge. Still, there are a couple of enticing reasons out there, like full support for Stop 'N' Swop, an improved draw distance, and a smoother frame rate.
Or, if you're a competitive prick like I can be from time to time, there's always the online leaderboards to look forward to. Rare has given us a few screenshots and a trailer for Banjo-Tooie, which should bring back both the happy and painful (see: Saucer of Peril) memories.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I'm hoping Amazon's XBLA store will have this for $10 instead of $15, like it's doing with Flock! I think I'll just wait until then since I could easily just play an HD version of this using Project64 on my PC.
Can't wait to see how Stop n' Swop works. And this looks amazing. I'm buying both of the XBLA games and not gonna bother with Nuts & Bolts. Hopefully others do the same so we get a true B-K3.
I really didn't like Tooie the most recent time I played it, but this trailer has got me psyched for all the things I did love about the game as a kid! I think next week i'll be downloading both this and Banjo Kazooie for the Xbox, just for Stop-n-Swap awesomeness! My curiosity requires it.
1200 points is a bit too much, how about knocking down a couple hundred points? Although the stop and swap feature is cool. I did get a vague understanding of the features thanks to game shark on the N64 version.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Everyone needs to buy this. Collectathons may have gone out of style, but this is still a fantastic game that's even better than it's predecessor.
They we're actually fun together with some friends.
