Your humble reporter has uploaded this brand new trailer for the excellent looking Codemasters title, Overlord. This new video features the gremlin-like minions dancing merry jigs, jumping into molten liquid, and getting crushed to death by an infernal steamroller. Throw in some trolls, a bloodstained unicorn, and a sultry medieval tart and you've got yourselves a game that should rock one's proverbial socks, with a little luck.

While perhaps not the most graphically accomplished 360 title, the art style, unique gameplay and sense of dark humor should more than make up for the fact this doesn't look like Gears of War. This is definitely blinking most brightly on my radar, bringing with it the hope of fantasy villainy not enjoyed since the days of Dungeon Keeper. Here's hoping Overlord drinks its mead from a goblet fashioned of purest win.

I really want to like this game, but i cant shake the feeling that it's just going to be another "meh" title.

Evil gremlins that follow my orders? It's all coming together nicely, just like in my 3rd grade science project.

This looks so much like Pikmin with little devils.

That trailer was the best yet, how can one not want to dominate and destroy everthing in there path?

it looks claymation-y, like what clay fighters should have been

and I'm getting the feeling I first had when black and white 2 was coming out... a mix of OH! and, ohh.... hm.

The character reminds me of the Lord of the Rings bad guy.

Rated T? Oh, man! What the hell? I was kind of hoping this would be a balls out, slaughter 'em all version of Pikmin.

That's probably the point, Netik09, but who wouldn't want to try that armor out?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this one. Maybe I'll even have a 360 by the time it's released.

I agree. The armor kicks. I'd go and pre-order this game right now if I didn't hate pre-orders so damn much. ........I really hate those things.

At first I was going to buy Darkness this june, But after finally seeing this trailer it looks like theres going to be a conflict. But then again, do I really want to play another FPS? Even one as unique as the Darkness?

The trailer's music should've been "The Safety Dance." The game would sell a million plus no problem with a trailer like that.

Looks a little too much like fable, and that's not a good thing. Concept is awesome, so I really hope it turns out well. I'll wait for reviews, though.
