While we were off doing what it is we do on Friday evenings, the Left 4 Dead blog broke news of a hilariously awesome mutation for Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam. The mutation in question -- an encore -- makes it so that all Special Infected in Versus mode are Tanks. Yes sir, Tanks. This can only end well.

The Cold Stream campaign is of course being worked on still, thanks in no small part to the community's testing and feedback. Current design experiments involve a new ending for the first map, and an alternate route around the boat mast. Valve is explicitly looking for your thoughts on these additions.

The blog post also teased a possible comic for the Midnight Riders. I'd very much like that to happen. I imagine many of you would as well.
