Latest Combat Arms update adds the 'Nut Shot' photo

Watch out Midway Games, someone picked up your junk busting slack. Nexon’s latest update to online FPS Combat Arms added the ‘Nut Shot,’ a brand new (and hilarious) instant kill method. It’s exactly what you think. Instead of busting a dude in the head, players can now bust each other’s balls ... with bullets.

Of course, this update doesn’t just add a layer of hit detection. The HUD has been enhanced, so every time you get a testicle-related kill, a cute little image of exploding walnuts pops up on the screen denoting the savagery. We have a short trailer that introduces the scandalous attack method and shows off the visual addition after the break.

There isn’t a female equivalent to the ‘Nut Shot’ in the game, so if you’re rolling as a chick, you’re impervious to the new kill tactic. I guess ‘Vag Shot’ would have been too much.

INNOVATION!

No Nuts, No Glory. Oh my god.
The game looks quite shitty, to be honest, and I think this "INNOVATION!" is BULLSHIT! because it alters the gameplay quite much. I don't want to experience Killzone were everybody is just going for the nuts. Would be funny for about 10 minutes, yes, but then it just gets ridiculous.

Doesn't everyone just go for the balls anyway?

Oh man, I started coming here off the back of claims of "updated at least every 20 minutes"

I call bullshit.

If we truly updated every 20 minutes, it would require thousands upon thousands of monkeys working typewriters. God, that would be great.

This sounds like a parody of the genre, but it probably isn't.

Nut shot, big deal. Just how massive is this MMO? Is there going to be tens of thousands of players fighting against tens of thousands of players? If not, this game is sux.

Well we all know the guy who got shot there died on the inside even if it wasn't a 1 shot kill in the past.

this "latest patch" came out over a month ago...even if destructoid had thousands of typing monkeys they will always be slow on the draw. It is a decent online fps but suffers from glitches, glitch abusers, hackers, and your general assholes like me :)

This is actually an idea that I've had for a while, although I called it the "Crotch Shot", which to me sounds ALOT better. Of course my idea was that it would either bring you down to 5 health every time or paralyze you for a short amount of time.

It's ok that this now makes my idea unoriginal when and if I make it, but they could have at the very least have made it more useful.

Oh man you can do it with a knife even. It almost makes me want to waste a few minutes on this game. Almost.

Old news is potentially fairly old. I started playing combat arms again a little over a week ago and noticed the new addition then and I doubt they added on the exact day I reinstalled the client. Whats really weird though is that I don't remember there being the ability to play as a female character when I first started playing the game so presumably they added female characters at the same time as when they added nut shots which seems a bit odd to me. there have also been quite a few new maps added during my absence. Its cool to see that they are continuing to support the game.

I CANNOT believe Nexon would've ever done anything like that. It's hilarious.

Funny enough I saw an ad for this for the first time on April 1st and I would've sworn that it was an April Fool's joke.
