Late Spring? Must be Indie Royale bundle time
If there's a term that gamers are maybe getting a little worn out on, it's Kickstarter -- but "Indie Bundles" might be getting to that point too. This is the third Indie Royale bundle I've posted about this year and the Spring Bundle will make it four. Maybe time for a break guys? Still, let's have a look at what's in the bundle, eh? Unstoppable Gorg is maybe the biggest title included especially as it's only a few months old and costs $9.99 on Steam. Also included is the RPG Depths of Peril, retro platformer Tobe's Vertical Adventure, twin-stick shooters Inferno+ and Ballistic, and block-based puzzler Slydris. Lastly, if you spend over $5, you'll get the chiptune album Roots by Danimal Cannon. As much as I can bemoan the frequency of these bundles, I can't argue the value on offer here. At the time of writing this post, the minimum price was $4.50, so that's still a great price to get all these indie games and don't worry, miss out here and there's another bundle in two weeks' time. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)While I tend to prefer the Humble Bundle's selections of titles, I can't argue with this. Besides, Indie Royale gave us Explodemon. The way I imagine this bundle is I can pay $5 for a really good chiptunes album and then get some games for free with it. It's official. I got everything I want out of these bundles. This is the fourth one in a row that doesn't interest me at all. Of course, this is half because I got myself on an indie kick and started buying all the good indie games out right. If 'Lone Survivor' or 'To the Moon' ever end up in a bundle, you bastards are in for some treats. Naw, I'm not tired of discounts on games - even if I don't get them every time. I was thinking about checking out Gorg when it came out. I also like Diablo clones so I'll check out Depths of Peril too. Okay, I bought and played some Depths of Peril. Definitely fun. At its heart, it's a shameless Diablo clone, but it adds a bunch of neat strategic and diplomatic elements to it. You run your own group, you compete against other groups, you can fight and even kill other groups, you compete for quests and recruits, etc. I wish someone like Blizzard would try something like this. With their polish.... I really wish there was a way to apply the indie bundle buisness model to console games. It obviously works because Sony and microsoft would demand a cut, this making it unprofitable. But it would be great to have something like these on xbl This is the fourth one in a row that doesn't interest me at all.
