Last Action Gamer announces apparel line for men and women photo

Let's face it: the majority of gamers you know probably own at least a few shirts that proclaim their preferences when it comes to what they like to play (or that feature in-jokes so nerdy that only other gamers actually get them). A new apparel company called Last Action Gamer is going for a different approach, keeping their designs clean and streamlined while still showing off the theme we want: gamer at heart!

The designs retail between $9.99-$14.99, while hoodies run $23.99. Last Action Gamer are also offering a special deal to Destructoid readers: if you purchase anything from their online store from today to June 30th, you can enter the promotion code DTOID in at checkout and receive a 15 percent discount off your total order.

Last but not least, Last Action Gamer is looking for constructive feedback on this first wave of designs. Do you like them? If not, why not, and what would you change about them? Your answers may directly influence the next line of t-shirts, so get your thoughts in there while you can!

Not familiar with the company but the shirts look pretty cool.

Those all seem pretty awful, in my opinion. Far too generic looking to be interesting, and they barely look related to gaming at all. The strongest one with a games connection is the Ryu Bar & Grill design, but that still looks bland as hell.

Referring to them as 'gamer apparel' seems a bit of a stretch at this stage.

I appreciate the effort...
After looking over the site, I strongly agree with Slique.
These shirts, most of them, could easily be mistaken for skate/surf designs not video game threads.

Mmm, interesting, but I doubt I'd order from that first batch. They're just too Grunge for my taste. I also don't particularly care for lines that plaster their logo all over the clothes. That's one of the reasons that I rarely find anything at Jinx that I'd order, even if I like the design.

I'm jumping on the generic train. If I saw someone with a shirt like this, I wouldn't recognize it as a gaming shirt without recognizing it from this article. That being said, the style is cool, and if there were more of a connection to gaming, I would definitely wear these. Something like a stylized Mega-Man or Master Chief helmet would be cool.

They're not that connected to gaming, but I still like the style and would wear these.

Those shirts are pretty terrible. I smell paid advertising.

I can't see myself buying a shirt that just showcases a site I've never heard of before. They really should've focused more on gaming themes and less on their brand name since they aren't really all that recognizable. At least not to me or anyone else who's read this apparently.

I've worked with Jimmy and LXG a few times for some events. They're all pretty cool, laid back gamers. He's got some pretty cool designs that aren't up on the site (I'm sure more are coming soon) As the article stated, he's always up for comments and ideas. He does take them into consideration.

Yeah, these shirts are very generic looking. Lame.

I wouldn't buy any of them since they aren't very videogame related. However the team have some good designers so I may be interested in the next batch.

I'm with the other dudes. If he wants ideas, he's gotta draw the connection to the games that resonate with the gamers and stop using the shirts to do company promotion. That's why I stopped buying Jinx stuff too.

Those seem alright but could use some more flair. I like tokidoki not exactly gamer gear but cute designs and a lot are pretty gamer friendly like this pixeled hoodie.

www.tokidoki.it I don't work for them just like their stuff!

Thank you all for the comments. We sincerely appreciate those of you who provided some insight. Trust us when we say that those comments will help steer the company’s direction.

With that being said, we are not trying to be like Jinx or other gaming apparel companies. We are trying to create a brand of casual gaming apparel which is inspired by and created for gamers with a mainstream look. Some of the shirts may not be directly related to gaming, but something a gamer would wear. Some of our other shirts (i.e. Ryu’s Bar and Grill or Check Your 6 (i.e. first person shooter) will be subliminally gaming inspired. Some other shirts (watch for our new Oregon Trail Outfitters) will have a direct correlation. We don’t intend to have “LXG” or “Last Action Gamer” splattered over all of our shirts, we are actually going to be using our X logo in the future.

Again, thank you for the comments. Feel free to email me at jcbraz@lastactiongamer.com if there is anything you would like to share.

AND MANY THANKS for DESTRUCTOID for helping us out!

Their stuff looks okay, but it's not really gamer related. I get all my shirts from Casuallyhardcore.net

Just bought this shirt today, can't wait for it to arrive!
