so happy this is getting released. hopefully the wait won't be too long
Also, this may be a stupid question, but, I DLed La Mulana a while back, but when I attempt to play it it sort of displays in black and white, with the proper color only showing up for a split second just as I exit the game... I haven't made much of an attempt to figure out the problem, but anybody here have any ideas?
WiiWare may be the best fit for La-Mulana. It all depends on if good people like you choose to buy it.
Don't get me wrong, I'd absolutely but it . . . if I had a Wii. I certainly want one, but thanks to various factors I'm pretty much limited to gaming on my PC these days.
Nintendo's made a lot of missteps that have lead to WiiWare being the least of the console online services, but I certainly hope they take the proper lessons from this and step their game with the next console. The Wii's lack of proper internal memory was a definite factor that I hope they'll address with whatever their next console venture is.
That's not to say Nintendo didn't really messed up in other ways that are still doing damage to WiiWare. The shop layout, the requirement to enter your credit card info every time, the lack of eithernet cable support out of the box, their non-existent standards for what games they'll allow on the service, have all led to WiiWare having a terrible reputation.
Reputations can change though. For the sake of the awesome developers still supporting the service, I hope that they do soon.
Sounds like my perception of WiiWare's problems are a bit out of date but that they're also worse than I knew! Too bad, from what I do know the service does have a handful of nice of exclusives that deserve whatever support they can get, but it sounds like an uphill struggle.
I hate to say it, but I doubtNintendo's online woes will be solved this console generation. I certainly hope they take a few good lessons away from all this and give the other guys a good run for their money online when the next round of consoles hits, if not sooner.
You are probably running out of room on your 360 and PS3 because they don't have size limits on downloadable games and have plenty of DLC and patches. There are 360 demos that are three times as big or more as the Wii's total memory, and even a single FPS map pack DLC can equal the Wii's memory.
This is a side-scrolling action-adventure game in which players guide a professor through ancient ruins. Players use shurikens, whips, spears, and bombs to defeat a variety of roaming animals and fantastical enemies (e.g., bats, snakes, mummies, gargoyles, skeletons); enemies disappear in swirls of orange light when defeated. During one boss fight, small drops of red liquid can be seen falling from the ceiling. A handful of female enemies are depicted in suggestive attire (e.g., a snake-like boss with exposed cleavage), and one male character can be dressed in a somewhat revealing Sexy Bathing Suit outfit.
