XSEED Games has announced that KORG DS-10 Plus is golden, baby! The game will be out for the Nintendo DS and DSi on Feburary 16 for $29.99. $30 is nothing for everything that Korg DS-10 Plus offers.
The music synthesizer lets anyone make music and you'll get more bang for your buck if you use KORG DS-10 Plus on a DSi rather than a DS. Playing the game on the DSi will get you 12-voice polyphony, four tracks for the analog synthesizer simulator, two drum machine and more. Additionally, up to eight units can be linked together to play music or exchange songs with on either the DS or DSi.
Check out the above video to get an idea on just what can be done with the music synthesizer.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

I use the original on my bulky block gray ds and it helps me provide sufficient moody dance beats for me and MSdos(my cat) for our 4am raves. TOO MUCH FUN FOR ONE ROOM!
I actually took a pair of DS's and two copies of DS-10 (including the original Japanese release...) to a synth convention in Dallas last May. It was pretty freaking amazing to see all these incredibly old and heavily customized Moog and Korg synths right next to my twin DS' systems and see these old 50+ year old guys wanting to fiddle with the patch board on my DS.
Ha.
Well, it's good to know that I held off on importing the Japanese version of +. It's apparently region locked. BOO.
I'll be picking this one up for sure, no immediate need for the game since I don't have a DSi, but it's damn good software and it works really well. I imagine I'll have a DSi at some point, but not anytime soon.
1. Can music be imported to a computer after recorded?
2. I was going to buy the iPhone app Beatmaker but after learning that it wasn't for beginners I was put off...is the DS game for novice music makers or no?
@KalosBlue: The only way to do that to my knowledge is to plug an auxiliary cable from the DS's headphone jack to a PC's microphone jack. Though, I imagine any other device that takes in audio and records it can do it.
And not really. I mean, I'm sure you can crank out some decent tunes on Korg DS, but it really is just a synthesizer. There is no tutorial or anything. It's just, "this is a synth -- do some shit with it".
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Well, um, sorry Ragnarok DS. Its not the MMO version it was initially reported to be anyway.
Ha.
