Konami launches MGS: Subsistence league photo

Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence isn't exactly a common game you'd expect find in a pro tournament, but there's a new competition forming that may usher it in if it catches on in Europe. The MGS3 Substinence League, organized by the people behind the Electronic Sports World Cup (what?), is planning tournaments based on the following disciplines: deathmatch solo, team deathmatch, rescue, capture, and sneaking. I for one welcome our new cardboard box wearing overlords.

Americans? No soup for you.

That's so awesome that you referred to deathmatch, rescue, capture, and sneaking as "disciplines."

Can you even do LAN with MGS3? Because the online is way to fucking laggy to host a professional tournament on.

Never played it online. Sony was supose to send me a copy to beta-test but those nitwits send me a copy of Jak X a game we tested weeks before and having the European version of snake eater - it had already some extras - I decided not to buy Subsistence. So till this day I've never played online or played MGS with the third person camera perspective.

@toneman, I suspect they are going to have disks that login to a server that setup locally.
