The people picking apart Hideo Kojima's latest teases are leading us down a path of disappointment. A teaser site went up for Kojima's next game, which has now become a countdown, and people are studying and tearing apart everything about the site in an effort to crack some sort of Da Vinci Code.
The latest news is that what looks to be either a "5" or an "S" flashes on the screen, leading the masses to speculate that this game will either be Metal Gear Solid 5 or a brand new Snatcher. The countdown is set to end on May 22, but one can't help thinking that it'll lead to yet another countdown, or something equally cocktease-ish.
As much as I love Kojima's work, I can't stand the way he drags out the hype. We'll see what happens on May 22, but I won't hold my breath.

yes...Boktai 5. As in the 5th Boktai game.
watch on the day of the reveal the clouds are gonna disperse and the sun will come in and it'll reveal Boktai
The sun is at the end, so there's a shot at Boktai. I honestly just don't want it to be Metal Gear, even if that's the most likely. I love the series, but Kojima has several others that are pretty damn good and I would love to see what happens with something completely different like Tornado Outbreak.

Seriously though, I still like to think that it's related to "Project S". I wouldn't be surprised if it was something related to Boktai or something completely original though.

metal gear doesn't necessarily imply the Metal Gear series. Just the team named Metal Gear that will be working on the game.

I agree though, even with Metal Gear being my favorite series it does seem a little soon for a new title unless they are just going to do some kind of expansion using the same engine which would be perfectly fine, but I'd also love to see Kojima revisit Snatcher, Policenauts, and ZOE too.
