I'd be interested in what a 3d kirby could be, but otherwise, I'm glad they ended up at what they made.
I'm still cool with what they have made with this one, but I definitely digg the 2D Cel-shaded artstyle and hope it makes the cut for another Kirby game (with a bit more detail and on the 3DS, it would be Kirfect !)
I dig both of the styles, and I'm pretty interested what a 3D Kirby game would look like in motion. Hopefully there'll be some leaked gameplay footage in the near future.
The one on the left looks dough. 2D Kirby is good and all, but I'd like to see a 3D Kirby game on the 3DS with some new gameplay mechanics at some point in the future, that would be butter.
Nothing against what they ended up going with, but I do like the cel-shaded look more. They should make a kirby game with all art done by Ashly Davis.
I will always have a soft spot for cel shading, almost entirely because I have an even softer spot for hand drawn sprites. I don't know that I prefer one way over the other in regards to the new kirby. I can tell you one thing, though, give me Symphony of the Night's art style over any 3D Castlevania any goddamn day of the week.

Holy Crap, the one on the left needs to be made into a 3DS game. It's weird I normally prefer CelShaded graphic to everything, but In this instant I actually prefer what we got over the cel-shaded screens on the right.
Honestly, I wouldn't want Kirby to do 3D. Even on the 64, he stayed faithful and it was a pretty decent game. Kirby and 3D just don't make sense to me.
Hmm, I like cell shaded games that are 3D. Imagine all Nintendo properties with Wind Waker treatment. It would be amazing.
I would LOVE to see Kirby go 3D at some point. Don't get me wrong, I adore the 2D games, and I hope those don't go away anytime soon. But I'd be so excited to see their take on Kirby in 3D. Just seeing that 3D screenshot makes my pants happy.

dang, that 3D kirby looks like it could have been fantastic. i know the seething masses seem to prefer 2D, but i personally enjoyed the galaxy games far, far more that nsmb wii.
I love Kirby's happy environments, and I think the speed that Kirby usually plays would fit better in a 3D world where the emphasis gets put more on exploration of your surroundings than tight gameplay.

I am almost always for cel-shading. I would have loved that screen on the right to be what the game ended up looking like.

That 3D game looks like a lot of fun. Honestly I'm happy with any Kirby I get, but that looks pretty great.
