Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix secret video not so secret anymore

kingdom hearts directors are so full of themselves. i frankly am sick of their story telling, and i don't think i'll ever be able to finish kingdom hearts two just because i am tired of the over-dramatic, anime style story their trying to sell.

sorry for the rant guys, but i used to be one of those kingdom heart fans that would eat this video up in a second because "it's so deep and engrossing." But now that i experienced too hours of babble from KH2 and couldn't take it anymore, i frankly don't give a damn about these games anymore.

i'll be the first to call it that ffxiii versus is going to be equally annoying (being that it's from the same director.)

I've only played the first KH, and I have no idea what the fuck is going on in this... but dem, it looks pretty crazy.

i agree with agent. theres this awesome battle going on, and they almost spoil it by having mickey trying to be a badass.

Bah if they wanted my money they could have just put out a book with a STRUCTURED version of the story of Kingdom Hearts. Maybe then the average person not still living with their mother should be able to understand it. -.-'

Ok this is a kickass vid as we all know (peeps who hate kingdom hearts don't be asses and deny it...u all know this vid is kickass) too bad mickey ruint it... wat a shame... ok here are some facts that i got from the video that im 99.99999999999 and A MILION MORE NINES percent sure about...
1.the one who gets frozen and dropped is none other than RoXaS when he was about the age he was in KH2.
2.This vid was when Sora was asleep in castle oblivian...GET IT?? roxas was born by Sora's year long sleep...
3.The one with the blue hair and lightnin powers (which r pretty darn kickass) is A GIRL :o
4.Mr. BrownHair is in the commercial which is on youtube (i think) sittin in the white chair and looks like an organazation...not sure about this yet. You will see a small suit of armor at end and that is one of the lost 2 knights
5.this is last one so far... This is all takin place in a single year... mickey is watchin and that's y in Kh2 he is so bent on killin ^ all the damn heartless

Alright, having ignored both the video and the comments (still) due to my desired avoidance of spoilers, I do have something valid to point out: it is certainly possible that KHIII, or whatever the title of the next game in the series is, will be on Wii instead of PS3.

Nomura has stated before that the next KH game may not be called "KHIII," and if that's the case, they can take a chance on creating a side-story game by creating the next KH on the Wii. If it fails, well, it's not part of the main series, no problem. And no, this theory is not fueled by the fake EGM KH Wii joke.

Anyways, just a theory, which may be true if my analysis of vague Japanese developer interviews has gotten any better. Then again, maybe It's a Wonderful World for DS could in fact be an unconventional side-story to KH (set in our world), since the art style is near identical...

Ok, i was fine with the disney characters in the previous games, they were fun and felt like they fit in just fine... but now... Mickey just plain seems out of place. The Style of the graphics have gotten more serious and dark, a cartoon-style character like Mickey, or any other disney character for that matter, just plain seems out of place... The moon heart thing aswell, kinda felt cheesy with the style... In the prvious kingdom hearts, things looked a little less serious and much more brighter... So ya, while the viedo was cool, i'm not sure about the choice of style

Not sure about the console debate... So far, Squareenix has pretty much ignored the 360, so kinda of a safe bet that it's not going there... As for wii and PS3... well wii is good innovative fun, and the PS3 is better for high end graphics. Wii seems to fit the more disney-esc aspects of the game, which is something in the last couple of kingdom hearts. However, after seeing this video, i'd be putting my money on PS3... Compared to KH1 and 2, things look much more serious here, serious looking characters and a darker storyline, both of which seem to beg for high end graphics and high cinematic value. So ya, i'm imagining this game getting the white engine treatment that FFXIII is getting. I think if they were going to make it for the wii, they would go for a more colorful, kiddier style, since those kind of styles don't beg for high end graphics... but i suppose the wii is still possible

OMG. that was awesome. I dont really understand it though. I might need to play KH2 to kinda get the info about whats going on. I played KH1 which is my favorite game, but then the 360 came out and i bought that and didnt want to get ps2 games anymore, so I forgot about KH2. I might need to import final mix tho. =]

obviously half the people here dont use ther brains. That is a trailer, that is not gameplay. So actually the wii could produce those. The PS2 produced beautiful cut scenes, and the gamecube was far more powerful than the PS2, the wii has approximately twice the power of the gamecube in terms of the CPU and the GPU. So i bet the wii could produce a cut scene looking that good. Plus we have started to see a lean towards nintendo with CoM. Besides why would squenix want to put one of their prize franchises on a console that does not sell worth crap.

your not really thinking far enough... Yes, those graphics we saw could be produced by the wii, but will squareenix settle for those graphics, or would they want to push it even furthar? Look at how Square is currently distributing it's games... FFxii: revelent wings, FFTA:2, FF Cystal Cronociles, FF3 are all titles for Nintnedo... FFT (the good one), FF7-13, dirge of cerebus, crisis core, are all titles for Sony... what do the games in each group have in common? everything that goes to nintendo is done in a much more kid friendly style and does't pride themselves on graphics, while Everything that goes to Sony are games games done in a much more serious style and take enourmous pride in graphics and look VERY pretty. Judging from that trailer, where do you think Sony will want to go with this game? high end graphics, or kid friendly?

The old feel that the previous kingdom hearts had was kind of a cross between the serious and the kid friendly... If Square were to keep that same feel and want to keep those same graphics, then i could see this being a wii title. However, the feel of this trailer is rather serious and dark, it's a style and feel that begs for HD graphical treatment... Not saying it's impossible for them to choose the wii, just that based on this trailer and given their history of pride in graphics, it's more likely to be a PS3 title...

Oh and last i checked... their prized franchise of Final fantasy is still going to mostly sony, despite the PS3 and PSP both not selling... i mean, i don't recall FFXIII being anouced for the wii... something to keep in mind, KHIII probably won't be out for a couple of years, AFTER the PS3 has been given some time to finally mature its library of games and popularity... still too soon to call the PS3 a failed console (i'd say we won't be able to start making such calls until after it's been out for atleast a year)

Grant it, even if PS3 did end up flopping THAT badly, square would probably still want to use high end graphics for this game, and with Sony out of the picture Square would probably swallow it's pride and give the title to the 360... heh, i think i recall hearing that the KH games sell better in america then they do in japan, so kinda of added bonues there since 360 is currently prefered here over PS3, while hated in for the most part... But still, i don't foresee PS3 failing THAT badly... perhaps the weakest of this generation, but not overall failure
