A few weeks ago, Famitsu revealed two of twelve console-exclusive (as opposed to arcade) characters in SNK Playmore's King of Fighters XII: Elisabeth Branctorche and Mature, who might have the worst name in video game history. Mature is an adjective, not a name. That'd be like calling your kid Stinky or Yellow or Intelligent. Whatever.
Mature is pretty quick on her feet and favors speedy attacks when in combat. She used to be Rugal's secretary, but rumor has it she may have been a spy. She is a babe, but she can also be somewhat ruthless and cruel. Elisabeth's fighting style is more orthodox, but she can be tricky despite her minimal move set. She once invited Benimaru Nikaido and Dup Lon to France to form the Rival Team. Elisabeth has a special relationship with Ash Crimson
To be honest, I don't know too much about the King of Fighters franchise, so I can't really talk about the narrative implications of Elisabeth's relationship with Ash or anything of the like. The King of Fighters wikia might be a better place for that sort of thing.
But, I can tell you what I do know a bit about -- the mysterious camel toe. Our Canadian brethren to the north may call it a "moose knuckle," while our Japanese cousins refer to it as a "ninja slipper." No matter where you're from, it's a mystifying phenomena. You know, everytime i see the word Camel Toe i sing it in my head to the tune of the Gummi Bears theme.
I've never have an interest in KOF games before but this one has peaked my interest (not because of the bloody Camel Toe). The ARt style looks cool and i long for a bit of diversity from Street Fighter.
Yea, that ain't no camel toe, just a seam. The video looks so...strange. Maybe the hi-def is too much for me too handle. The voice acting on the other hand is...stale.
Also, her relationship with Ash can't be THAT special since Ash is flamingly gay (I'm not being facecitous, he's got airbrushed nail art, a hairband, a faux buffont hairstyle and walks with his hand on his hip) and Ash's real "special relationship" seems to be with Shen Woo.
Hey about Mature: Yeah, it´s an adjective, but whe the Japanese looked ant USA and UK or Canada and see a bunch of Goodmans, Whites, Irons, Brows, Bacons, Cashs, they understand that call a lady Mature was not that strange-If you can be a good man and even have Goodman in your name, why not Mature as a name.
I liked Elisabeth in KOFXI, looking forward to using her again in XII. Never was a big fan of Mature, I prefer her partner Vice (really hoping she's in the home version since they're usually paired up together).
I know nothing of KOF, so the name "Ash Crimson" made me chuckle. It's just so... I mean, "Ash Crimson"? That sounds like a name fat goth chicks give their cat.
@Mozgus -- I don't post during normal human hours because this isn't, unfortunately, my full-time job. My argument is that King of Fighters isn't serious business. I posted the new video and some info on the characters (the real news), and I thought it was funny that some other guy took a picture of Elisabeth's "camel toe."
