Kinectimals Now with Bears gets Teddy Bear DLC photo

In promotion of their upcoming Kinectimals release Microsoft will be partnering with the Build-A-Bear Workshop in offering up four collectible teddies. In what can only be called the sneakiest DLC ever, these $18 plushies can be scanned into the 360 via Kinect to unlock their in-game counterparts. I can only imagine how many of these will sell to whiny children at malls across America as Microsoft laughs all the way to the bank.

Now With Bears will be available for $49.99 come October 11th. Alternatively, Kinectimals owners can pick up the "Bear Island" add-on for a cool $14.99. Either way the game includes two new quests and five bear cubs to hang out with. And if you couldn't already tell, I just can't get enough of that baby Panda. It's just so cute.

The crazy thing about Kinectimals is that is is obviously designed for toddlers, yet my 3 year old can't figure the game out to save her life. Even with me giving her instructions she just couldn't understand the concept.

So that begs my question, if a 3 year old finds it difficult to play....who exactly is this game for?

Seems to have the same problem as Eyepet.

Designed for genius toddlers or retarded adults.....

Or really stoned adults. i did have a bunch of fun with eyepet, that one time.

I'd be interested to see the sales figures for this DLC, seeing as how the target age group is far to young to me fiddling with xbox live, and their parents will probably figure the 50 bucks for the game is enough. Speaking of dlc- with all the nonsense regarding day 1 dlc, drm, un erasable saves, and online passes being pretty much standard these days, I shudder to think what the game industry will look next gen, or the one after. The bullshit has got very deep as of late. I can see myself taking a long break if the negative aspects continue to multiply.

The scientists keep going back and forth on it. They can't decide if its a bear, a raccoon, or neither.
