to be fair to call of duty their maps aren't just ripped from singleplayer. Now that may not entirely apply to this map pack but the last pack was a complete ripoff. Same deal with Halo.
Don't get me wrong I love me some killzone but comparing the two seems slightly unfair in that regard. Oh and plus zombie maps are obviously way bigger and worth far more.

The pack adds a good amount of trophies for anyone that cares. I especially like that the trophies are actually for things that are possible, ie there is no "6 headshots wiithout reloading during a mortar strike while downed and awaiting a medic".

I'm not saying I agree with Activision, but its obvious why Killzone 3 has a lower price. There are a lot more ppl who own COD. If Killzone had sold as many copies as COD, then I bet that one map pack cost at least 10 dollars. I played the beta and thought it was a decent shooter, so I hope fans of the series enjoy this.
That bundle is indeed a sweet deal. I already have the first two packs (won one from Destructoid and got the other free... somehow, I can't remember), but I would definitely pick up the new one if I were still playing this.

So is the game still worth buying?
I know you gave the game a "Sterling" review (i'm so horrible), but as a late comer, is it worth getting into it now. I've been more of battlefield and COD fan (on the pc), so I kinda ignored killzone all these years.
Is it worth playing the first two games for the single player? Yes I do love my mindless summer movie action plots. Are people still playing killzone 3? Kinda wanna take a break from my usual bad company vietnam friday night multiplayer sessions.

The Killzone storyline is really interesting", but don't play 1 for it. I suggest Killzone PSP, KZ2 & 3 for your story and whatnot.

I recently just ordered the HELGHAST edition on amazon for $60, so hopefully this game doesn't disappoint.
I still haven't picked up the last map pack... as much as I really like the KZ series, I'm hesitant simply because I'll only play Warzone, so I feel like I won't using my money as effectively as I should be. That, and Guerrilla Games hasn't released any new Operations maps yet...
The game is less than four months old and it has three map packs already? That's pretty lame, is this common practice now?

i think its fucked up that some people are so used to the 15 dollar map packs that they are totally blind to being ripped off
All maps for that price seem like a nice deal. I don't play that much Killzone 3 online, but i might get this.
Well, the bundle will hopefully be worth getting. Always a pain on multiplayer DLC maps if not enough people have them....ends up being a waste of money (avoided the Bioshock 2 DLC maps for that reason).

I'm hoping the online side of things is still popular because I just bought KZ3 on ebay for £15 and (once I've done the single player campaign) I plan on picking up the £8 map pack bundle as well. I really enjoyed the multiplayer beta, even though I wasn't too great, so I'm hoping to get stuck in to the online mode and have fun with that.
