I bought KZ2 as my first PS3 game when the Slim's launched and ughhhhhhhhhhhh. if it's anything like KZ2 I shall pass.
Even though it's extremely doubtful I'd love to see some kind of co-op in this game. Do we really need to rely on the Resistance series to be the only couch co-op on the freakin PS3?

Trying to play it now though? I can't stand the controls. I would even go as far as saying I wish I had the 59.99 back it cost me.
No control changing options = no buy for me. They really need to flesh out the story more as well.

hilariously, only one person mentioned Halo Reach having jetpacks, and thus the entire Halo/xbox community is condemned as jetpac trolls. talk about Ps3bot insecurity.
This is unexpected and fucking awesome!! Considering Killzone 2 is still probably my favourite Friday Night Fight game, I'll be all over KZ3.
Hopefully Sony spaces out the releases of KZ3 and Resistance 3 a bit. Maybe R3 in August, KZ3 in November. Though now I'm thinking that Starhawk will be a 2011 title for sure which bums me out.

As long as they make the dialog NOT sound like what 14-year-olds think adults talk like ("fuck fuck mcfucketty") then I think I'm in. Also, they need to keep the control style closer to the patched game than that sack of crap release style. I've fired honest to goodness weapons. I've aimed a gun. I've walked while holding a gun. Don't you tell me that the initial controls were "realistic" when they were sloppy, slow and clunky.
When you say something it's one thing, but when he says something you'd all like "yeah right!" and then you say the same thing later like HD never said anything at all.

We all know LBP was the origin of all jetpack gameplay, and LBP existed since the beggining of time.
I liked the multiplayer in KZ2 but the the single player was pretty meh to me. Very bland and generic. Will def be keeping an eye on it though
Yay KZ3! Woooo! Here's hoping they change the thing in multiplayer when you can run through enemies. It would make melee kills a lot, a lot easier

I really hope they focus more on art design than "realistic" graphics this time. Killzone 2 was all gray and motion blur. It was technically impressive, but my goodness was it an ugly and dull looking game.

I never understood all the praise Killzone 2 got, I personally found it to be rather generic and dull. I always thought Resistance 1/2 were better efforts from Sony. Didn't love KZ2 controls, but I heard they updated those. I have been meaning to try it again... but Killzone 3 may be the Killzone I've been waiting for... I'm definitely interested in the 3D aspect.

Killzone was great, albeit creatively vapid. Their engine is SO PRETTY, but sadly only used to render ugly, boring levels.

I have to laugh at all the claims that killzone had no colors, and was ugly.
Perhaps you are playing it on a black and white tv? Or you could mean the video game has different colors than you would choose? Who asked?

@ NEXSUS, Yeah cause Tribes for the PC didn't have it either? wait that was launched on Windows then ported to Linux and PS2 later.
Am I the only person who enjoyed KZ1? Any game with Sean Pertwee doing voice acting is worth playing, IMHO.
And, yeah. I'm going to be hugely disappointed if they bring &*$%^ Rico back. Never known anyone who wanted him in the game. Still, day one purchase, etc.

killzone2 was great , but besides the eye candy there really wasnt much there. Paper thin characters , boring story and less variety in enemies. The MP however was really good. Hope they stick with it and not implement the matchmaking system.
Man - I guess this is cool and everything, but Killzone 2 was a massive let down for me. I ripped through the campaign and found myself finished without once being surprised or impressed.
Online was a good time but it also wasn't a sparkling candidate that made me want to keep coming back.
I sound a little dour, but I guess I was really disappointed. I expected a lot more and it more or less gave me no reason to look forward to any future releases.
