Last week we started to see a mystery image teased on the official Killing Floor Steam group and knowing Tripwire Interactive's previous holiday season gifts, it wasn't a big leap of imagination to think that there would be another Christmas update on the way. Well, we've now got details on the Twisted Xmas Event and it's looking great.
First, and probably most importantly, the weapons; there's a new gun for each class including the classic M-4 carbine, a new semi-automatic shotgun, a revolver and new MP5 machine pistol for the medic. Firebugs can now wield the deadly Husk gun that's been ripped from a dead zed. Maybe the best weapon looks to be the two-handed Claymore that the Bezerker class can now run around with.
Also included in the update is a whole new Christmas themed map, the Ice Cave, and a set of new achievements. There's also going to be another character skins DLC pack, this time it's a new batch of Steampunk variants of existing characters. The Twisted Xmas Event starts on Wednesday and will run through until January 4th and if you're still to play Killing Floor, it'll be free this weekend on Steam.
