Killer Instinct 3 sheet music is probably real photo

A little while back, we ran a rumor involving the supposed appearance of Killer Instinct 3’s sheet music. Since then, a few other gaming communities have tried their hand at cracking the Internet’s greatest mystery, and it appears it may have been solved, or at least, partially solved. The picture of the sheet music that we ran had a fairly identifiable table in the background, and the guys at GiantBomb (via Music4Games) are reporting that the sheet music from Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise has been pictured sitting on the exact same table.  As you can see above, the resemblance is quite striking.

Assuming that a hoaxer didn’t borrow the same table from the Prague recording session that the Viva Pinata document stems from, then it looks as though we may have the confirmation that the music is real. A few questions remain, though. Is the KI 3 music actually tied to the game, or is it being used for something else entirely? Perhaps this is all the result of some clever naming of a Viva Pinata tune.

Chris Titlon, a real videogame music composer, tried his hand at recreating the theme music in its final form. You can listen to it here. It is quite spectacular, and I would totally punch dudes with TJ Combo while listening to it.

I have no idea why but this is probably my favorite way a game can be leaked.

That track really does sound like something out of KI, hopefully this is true. I need Jago in my life again. Oh shit, imagine Fulgore rendered in Soul Calibur's graphics...

Pitching a tent in anticipation

Good track but it doesn't fit as a fighting round music, as in in something to be totally punching dudes with whatever character to. It's more epic title screen like music maybe. It's just not punchy enough (pun unintended).

It is the title theme music you will not be punching anybody in the face to this music.

a theme like this plays on the old KI arcade machine when it says "PRess start" insert coin" when picking the characters at the select screen or the Bio of characters play.

Ki does not have music like this in the stages when you are playing of course it don't fit.

it is a setting track fo before you play.

@Cube - the point is that I would punch someone in the face while listening to it! It doesn't matter where it is.

That music is awesome. Got me all riled up to plus KI into my SNES. You know since there aren't any arcades around anymore and even the ones that aren't around don't have KI.

that sounded great. fortunately, robin beanland (the composer of the first KI's musics) is still at rare, and is working on banjo nuts and bolts. so there could be truth to this, and that means the music would be just as epic as the old ones.

this guy and david wise (largely responsible for dk country) are two of the only non japanese music composers that get lots of respect from me.. robin also worked on goldeneye.. that soundtrack was amazing.

if this is coming, msft announce it already! you couldnt have a more perfect time than now due to the renewed interest in fighting games.. soul cal 4, mk vs dcu, sf IV, tatsunoku vs capcom, blazblue, tekken 6, virtua fighter 5r.. and KI3?!

It sounds like something that would be on Killer Instinct, most def. One thing those games always had was amazing music...Jago and Tusk's themes from KI2 are seriously some of the best videogame music evar.

One of the best things about KI is the sound.

even screams of pain sound like a funy beat when you are doing large combos.

Snes and N64 had the same intro theme, and looking at the score seems like its the same thing.
