Let me put it this way, I don't trust people. People are generally dicks. Same reason I don't trust most of things, including videogames (since we're in a site about them). I will check and re-check before putting my money down because that's my most powerful (and often only) weapon as a costumer. It don't smell good? I'm not gonna be a moron and put money just to feel like a morally correct or nice person. You can berate me for "not knowing what's fake or not" all you want, but I rather be cautious because I'M POOR (not horrifically poor, I can afford this basic internet after all, but that's also because I'm wise with my dollars) and I rather follow what's right for me instead of listening to someone with a holier-than-thou attitude.
