Mars: War Logs

Kick up a fuss in Mars: War Logs

10:00 AM on 04.28.2013

The launch of Mars: War Logs somehow managed to slip past me, but it looks pretty damn groovy. Moral choices, rebellion, lots of sand -- it seems like my cup of tea. Mass Effect by way of Red Faction is a lazy way to describe it, but when the shoe fits...

Cyberpunk RPGs aren't exactly a dime a dozen, so the premise and setting alone is worthy of note, and Spiders' last outing, Of Orcs and Men, was certainly an enjoyable romp. It launched on Steam a couple of days ago for the budget price of $19.99, and if you're wondering what it's all about, feast your eyes on the launch trailer.

Knowing what I now know about Mars: War Logs, it may end up being one of those titles that becomes a solid bargain-bin pickup. It's on the right track: Spiders Studio has put out an update for the PC game which promises a be...more

Review: Mars: War Logs

I have a considerable amount of respect for the studio auspiciously known as Spiders. Its games are not the prettiest, nor the most technically sound, and they're far from the best. They do, however, possess a certain tenacit...more

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest was a travesty. It played itself, it was pretty abrasive in its pandering, and the microtransactions were so pushy that it was hard to enjoy it without feeling like you were constantly being sold something. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more
