Let's face it -- samurai are pretty sweet. Not quite as sweet as ninja, but I'd never say this to a samurai's face, as (much like ninja) one wouldn't hesitate to kill me in an instant. Still, I have a tendency to shoot off at the mouth after a few Red Bull and vodkas, so some samurai training might be in order.
This fall, thanks to Majesco, I might get my first next-gen taste of what being a samurai is all about. The company will be releasing the Genki developed Kengo: Legend of the 9 for the Xbox 360, a mission based samurai warrior simulator featuring real life, historical Japanese warriors that you're too ignorant to recognize.
Each of the game's nine samurai will have individual storylines (with an emphasis on kicking people around, apparently), attack techniques, and upgradable samurai sweetness attributes. While the game will not feature head-to-head battles over Xbox Live (boo!), there will be online leaderboards as well as upload-able AI profiles ... because that's a good substitute for online multiplayer.
But hey, what do you expect for $39.99? Good graphics? Compelling gameplay? A perfect in-game representation of Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyoshi? You're very demanding, aren't you?
I think it lists all of them.
reminds me a bit of yakuza ( ryu ga gotoku)
1. I'd rather be a samurai than a ninja, I'm not sure why and I know its probably the unpopular choice of the two but still.
2. Since it contains historical japanese warriors I want to fight historically acurate enemies, like giant crabs. Massive damage! (where would my ability to speak be without internet memes?)
3. If it's online japanese inspired death matches you seek Tenchu Z comes out on the 360 soon and that has online ninja fights. I know I look forward to being called a fag while I throw ninja stars in someones ass.
Thats all I have to say about that.
