The VP of Artistic Modification, Kevin Butler, loves himself some ModNation Racers. But even on his own custom created track, Kevin is no match for the President of Sony Computer Entertainment, Jack Tretton. Still, I think Kevin is the true victor here with his epic one-liners.
Kevin's track will be made available for download when ModNation Racers is released on May 25. Speaking of ModNationRacers, we're currently giving away ten copies of the game plus a PSP. Just leave a comment on the contest post to enter!
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

These are great. Kudos to Sony for finally getting advertising right. Also, nice throwback to the days when game companies would put cheats and hints in their ads. Even if these are only hints for KB's track.
Too much hair gel says what? I love the way Sony's gone with Kevin Butler. This is much more enjoyable advertising than their crazy, "artsy" ads from before.
See, this is Sony's advertisements at their best, when they're avoiding overly pretentious robot baby and black egg arthouse films. I guess Sony being humbled has led them to making genuinely awesome ads.
WOW. I just noticed that I've been wearing my Ps3 headset the wrong way! No wonder it's uncomfortable, that bar is supposed to go IN FRONT of your ear.
I can't believe I'm about to say this but...that was some classic Kevin Butler. Best thing about this advert is I can totally see where they can cut an edit for television air.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But they just did... I hope Jack and Kevin continue to be rivals in any new commercial.
Someone needs to tell them that less is more.
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. Sort of weird and uncomfortable, in a Richard Alpert sort of way.

I fully agree. It's really creepy.

God, Kevin Butler is awesome.
well, it looks like a dragon, not a horse
sheeeeeet.
"Too much hair gel says what?"
Oh Butler, you crazy sonuvagun!
He sorta looks like he's wearing lady makeup. But thats probably intentional.
Kevin is hilarious and Sony has done some good advertising for once.
Agreed. The longer ads kinda drag sometimes. They need to be short and snappy... with a stick! STICK!
Brilliant line, although... are we starting to get back to the point where Sony is full of themselves again?
