It seems rather fitting that we're getting quite a few stories relating to graphical prettiness on the first day of our new layout. Seems we're so sexy, everyone wants to get in on the action.
The latest comes from Capcom, who've just released the first official shot from their upcoming Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for Xbox360 and PS3. While the images we've seen before have been production art, this is apparently the real deal. John Dunn, Product Marketing Specialist & Translator at the big C, posted the shot on the official Capcom BBS and had this to say:
I will be starting a new blog very soon to bring you all exclusive stuff (art, interviews, scoops, and more) on all of our download titles (Puzzle Fighter, Street Fighter, Rocketmen, Talisman, etc.), but to give you a taste of what's to come, here is the very first official image released of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. All of the backgrounds, portraits, and in-game animations are being completely re-drawn, in hi-res (game will run in 1080p), by Udon Comics.

I have much more art to share in the coming weeks, leading up all the way to launch.

This is a cool shot... I guess... I mean, I like the style... but I don't get why you're all jizzing yourselves. Let's see the background, let's see some motion, and most importantly, let's play the damn game! C'mon, Capcom! Hurry the F up!
I wish they had just used the artists who created SF3, I mean the HD idea is sound, but the art direction has taken a step back. It's too American, no offense to Americans, but the Japanese can't be beat when it comes to character design.

HD is so much more totally awesome on teh PS3! I bet the 360 doesn't have 1 thousand and 80 i's and p's of HD awesomeness! bwhahaha
