Fuck yes! Metroid fans dodged a bullet where as action game fans can add another bad ass looking game to their hugely anticipated list - which is crazy because we already have MGRR, Anarchy Reigns, and for the less technical, DmC and GoW. That's a lot of action and a pleasant surprise!
Neat! I'm right there with you, Conrad. The 3D titles just don't really get my juices flowing. I played and enjoyed the first game (even though it just ended up being "run up wall, jump off, hit Y, repeat" for most encounters. But I haven't picked up 2 or 3 and gave out an audible "Ugh. WHYYY?" when I saw the other post about Sigma 2 coming to the Vita.
This however looks excellent and I can't wait to see more.

I think that his special touch is giving a distinct personality to games, something that Tomonobu Itagaki definitely brought to the first 2 modern iterations of Ninja Gaiden.

Wow, this kinda looks like they're going the Borderlands route with the art style. I haven't really cared for the Ninja Gaiden games so far, but I think I'll keep my eye on this one.

I played the original NES Ninja Gaiden series and all I could think When I read "this new protagonist is out to kill Ryu Hayabusa" i just thought..."why would i want to kill Ryu?" Then I watched the trailer and if this guy can come back from the dead then...What IF I KILL RYU? Who cares! LETS DO IT!

Wait... the guys that made the asstastic Turning Point and Legendary, and are in the progress of (oddly enough) making the too be dud Lost Planet 3 for Capcom? Color me skeptical.
Okay. Now I'm just hoping for the return of amazing cut-scenes to the franchise.

Also, feeling very conflicted over the combination of Spark, Comcept, and Team Ninja...I have never heard anything good regarding Spark Unlimited's work.
Given it's zombie nature, I'm not expecting this game to be all that challenging, sooooo color me skeptical.
I like the art style for the trailer. Reminds me of a cleaned up version of the animation for the Twisted Metal 2 endings. Will definitely keep an eye out for this.

I really do not want any more Ninja Gaiden. Every 3D game in the series comes across the same, and replacing the gross-out sexual objectification of teenage girls with zombies isn't the biggest improvement it could have had.
