*cough* *cough* hypocrite *cough* ...
That might be a touch too optimistic(though not necessarily). Have faith that it will likely be a 'love sim' that is more approachable and a great deal more enjoyable than anything else in that genre, for all that goes for.
I think I'm just going to cry on a corner or something...
Or they could just play Megaman, girls aren't required to play or watch things that are "Girly"
I mean, how many love stories are framed within a terrorist hostage situation featuring a man in a bear suit?
Only in Japan.
I kind of get the feeling that Inafune isn't really looking for serious work right now, just whatever he feels like that day when he wakes up. It's like the game development version of a midlife crisis.
Fans, JPN Devs: FUCK IT, LET'S HEAD WESTWARD!
*inafune leaves Capcom*
Inafune:My next project is.......A DATING SIM.
Fans, JPN Devs: WAT.
He knows gamers aren't getting any love from Capcom (or from most people, for that matter). So he's decided to give back to them by helping make a game where the goal is to find love!
All kidding aside, he left Capcom because he couldn't stand how restricting they were as a company. They wouldn't let him do the things HE wanted to do or how HE wanted. Capcom was too much of a "srsbsns" company that focused more on what the stockholders thought and he couldn't take it anymore. Yes, he's working on a love simulation game. Ha ha. However, projects like that aren't hampered by big business models, nor do they restrict creativity for the sake of making sure the investors keep their stocks.
Remember, this is just something he's helping make. Not something he's doing himself. Everyone has to start off somewhere when it comes to making games. Not everyone started off with a success right off the bat. Hell, look at Yuji Naka. He left Sega and Sonic Team to start Prope. He started off with Sega doing projects like Phantasy Star and Sonic the Hedgehog. Now he's struggling to make sales with games like Ivy the Kiwi and Let's Tap. But at the end of the day, those are games HE wanted to make and you can sense that enthusiasm from him. Inafune is more than likely no different.
If he does a third game with them then no more excuses, just fuck him. I like Japanese games, but Idea Factory enters a territory that is too dark for me.
The premise of this game sounds amazing, I would love to see a translation.
This sounds AWESOME!!!! It's just weird enough to make me go out and buy a new PSP.
If girls want their own Mega Man, they should play Mega Man. Likewise, if Rosenkreuzstilette plays like Mega Man, guys who like Mega Man should give it a try, too.
And he left Capcom because the company wasn't taking globalization seriously.
Correct me if I'm wrong here...
But if he said and really mean't to say that.
Making a Dating Sim isn't like the WORST POSSIBLE MOVE?
