I think both the PS3 & 360 were the biggest factors in Japans decline due to the graphic whore mentality that came packaged with them.
I wish all the cunting EAs and Activisions were exiled to peddle their shit on hand helds while Japans super sexy fun time conquers the home console realm.

literally? so as we speak, gamers are preparing to bring a war to Inafking's doorstep?
I see how Japanese games are "failing". But it's not so much failure as it is the way that Japanese games are no longer as genre and generation defining as before. Altogether it's really a meaningless concept because by and large most of the games I have on PS3/Wii are still Japanese while my PC games are largely from American/European devs. SO currently I think each "side" is carving their own niches. A "failure" occurs when one cannot adapt the style of the other. i.e. The lack of a competent, Japanese developed COD style game. So these weaknesses could be seen as strengths because it prevents saturation of a given game model. THAT should be the real debate here.
