Oh, Kaz. You say really silly things, and we love you for it.
His load of crap from this month relates to Xbox 360 exclusive titles. According to a recent interview, Kaz says that he would rather take a bullet to the head than pick up any of the the 360 exclusives.
After two unsuccessful attempts to fend off the question, the Sony Computer Entertainment boss chooses death:
Aftonbladet: But if someone is holding a gun to your head and you have to choose one. Which game would it be?
Hirai: Okay.. then they have to shoot me, because I really don't think we need any.
Come on, Kaz. Don't be a dick. I like the PS3, and I'm really pleased to see some of the upcoming exclusives for your flagship system. But you're flat out lying to say that you don't want a piece of the Halo or Gears of War pie. They're good games that would make you more money. It's understandable that you would want to avoid giving the competitor's franchises any credit, but don't be a dick about it!

The interviewer was pushing it to hyperbole (and kind of being an ass, or that's just the impression I get from the longer excerpt on Gamepro) and Kaz responded with just an appropriately ridiculous answer. I think he was just tired of the question after the third time it was asked.
If Cliffy popped in and asked if Kaz was interested in a multiplat Gears 2 release, I'm sure he'd accept, but he's not going to say "I'd love to have Gears 2 on PS3" in an interview.
Well, i haven't played Halo 3 because it isn't available for PC, BUT I wasn't a big fan of Gears and Halo 1&2 was just kinda "meh" for me.
But, I'm only one PS3 owner out of like 14 million.
I personally would have said Star Ocean 4
Besides, Halo is overhyped, GoW is an ok game or at least it was for the PC.

Come on, Kaz. We know it was a loaded question, but a smarter PR move would have been to start talking about the importance of 3rd party games, and how you wished all games could be on the PS3.

ANY exec from ANY of the big 3 would say the same thing, albeit a bit more classy.
If he let slip that he would love Halo or Gears on the PS3, he would likely lose his job in a day, his superiors would crucify him.

Microsoft is playing the old console game, while Sony has developed a new game plan SOFTWARE. The people wanted games Sony is bringing the games.
They would be dumb ass shit on a brick if they added Microsofts limited line up to directly compete with what they have.

The line of questioning was crap, and if I were Kaz I probably would've stood up and walked out of the interview after the interviewee decided my first answer wasn't good enough.

Nintendo has admitted to wanting Little Big Planet, and Ms has admitted to wanting Metal Gear Solid 4. I think even Tretton has admitted to wanting something from one of the other two. It's a hypothetical question and it's not that big a deal!
