IO Interactive has announced the release date for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days today, and that date is August 24 for North America and August 27 for PAL territories.
Along with the announcement, the official Web site has updated with a "Welcome to Shanghai" trailer. That's a still from the trailer up there. It's not safe for work, but I think given the gritty nature of Dog Days, that should go without saying.
I chatted up IO's Karsten Lund today about the game, so check back tomorrow as I dig a little deeper into the trailer, and the story that drives Dog Days.

I imagine when he gets mad he is like a puffer fish and gets all... round. and maybe he gets a little red. That's about it. The worst that can happen is one of his pimples pop and squirts all over you.
Oh, and he'll give you a 4 out of 10.. but don't worry about that, because nobody gives a shit anymore.
I don't know if this is a day 1 purchase. I'll wait for some reviews and further gameplay, but I'll definitely get it at some point.
I joke, i agree with jim on ass cream 2, but i'm yet to play ff13.
