Quantcast

Here's a brand new trailer and a batch of fresh screenshots for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, otherwise known as pretty much the only retail game in August that I'm looking forward to. The latest trailer is pretty mental, with lots of violence and shouting, which is pretty much what you'd expect.

The game's out on August 17, and by all accounts, it seems to be a drastic improvement over the first title, which had bucketfuls of promise but stumbled in the execution. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed, because I've always loved these characters and really want to see them in a good game.

Fucking demo was the bees knees.

Know that you can inact a "Steady Cam" mode, which should fix all the "ITS CLOVERFIELD" feelings.

I can't wait for this game.

I really enjoyed the demo and found the shaky cam to be really cool

Not sure that I'm going to play this, but I really appreciate the visual style.

Gritty without looking like every other beige shooter.

I thought the demo was good...multiplayer didn't work when I went to try it (gonna try again tonight or sometime this weekend) but singleplayer was cool. Controls are tons better then the first game. Only complaint is that controls and/or animations felt a little clunky.

@Linfosoma:

Not the only one, I played it for 5 minutes and then uninstalled it, I don't know who thought deadspace controls were a good idea :-\

After the shitstorm that surrounded the first K&L game, I'm surprised it sold enough to warrant a sequel.

I've played the MP in the demo for at least 4 hours now, pretty good game, despite the fact that it freezes my PS3 sometimes.

Hated the shaky cam, turned it off, and enjoyed it a hell of a lot more.

It's a solid demo. Nothing great, though.

If the multiplayer didn't work for you, try it again at a time when more people are awake. It's a fucking blast.

Personally I think this game is a huge cut above the first one, and I hated that game. I'm probably gonna buy this on day one.

Davidfoundation: Really? I really love the shaky cam. Unlike movies, it actually makes things seen more intense. Also I do enjoy the "doctumentary" aspect they are going for.

The highway menu (where you are riding in the car) made me nostalgic for china. The actual game enviroments though just looked like Chinatown...not Shanghai...hehe...

I am LOVING the demo (When it doesn't crash! Protip: watch the tutorial video, it makes it less likely) and I will be getting this day one.

Just hoping for at least host migration in the full game.
