No doubt this Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days trailer looks familiar. I personally posted it not long ago, along with some info from a chat I had with Karsten Lund from IO Interactive, the game's developer.

But stick with it and you'll find that it's extended. Yup, right about where the original trailer ends, this one gets totally metal and throws a bunch of new gameplay footage in your face. It's still not making a good case for me ever wanting to visit Shanghai.

The trailer depicts extreme extended violence and at least one naughty word; you've been warned not to watch it in front of co-workers.

Personally I can't wait to see how this turns out. The first one, while flawed, was quite a bit of fun.

This one's on my radar. Played the first one and it was ok. The story was odd.

If they can fix the gameplay, make it a bit more varied, then I'm totally interested in this. I like the look and the style.

I really enjoyed the first one, good split screen co-op games are too hard to find.

However I did not like the random tangent iut took about 75% of the way through. Ruined it.

This is firmly on my radar.

I do oh so wish they would just make a new Hitman though, god i miss 47.

I loved the original - there just aren't games with good, fucked up stories like this one. My only complaint was that it wasn't long enough, but I borrowed it from a friend anyway.

It's priceless moments like the beginning of the chase scene in this trailer that has me sold. I hope they keep the censor bubble's in because it's detailed elements like that which hooked me in right at the start. Even though the first game was kinda bad, it still had cool set pieces for each level and it looks like it's going to deliver in that department. If the game improves with better shooting and cover mechanics i'll buy this day one for sure.

Video game's need to get over the obsession with mediated style. My experience of the game doesn't change a bit no matter how many post-processing effects you saturate the image with. The experience doesn't feel more authentic if you put in some mobile camera pixelization and artifacts, and it doesn't feel more like a movie if you fill the image with grain and lens flares. It's just annoying.

You see, that's where you're pretty much wrong. It DOES matter to some degree. Art style and approach are very key to how the experience plays out. I like to say that graphics have certainly taken far too much of a focus these days, but visuals and the style in which they are implemented are VERY important.
