Forget the silly diagrams, now we finally have some honest to goodness live-action footage of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for the Wii. Question is though, are you excited about this? I mean, weren't we all looking forward to Sonic on the Wii and then, I swear to God, I haven't heard a peep about it since its release. What gives?

Looks OK, something different at least. Really, was anyone THAT excited about MK:Armageddon on ANY console? Or the one before that? Or before that? Yeah, me neither. This series went downhill as soon as it went polygonal.

Ok, Summa, we got it, you don't like the Wii nor this MK :P
The controls don't look bad but, after many years and incarnations, I still don't like MK.

Nobody ever cared about MK. Ever.

I chalk up sonic's lack of attention to the awful menu musix. seriously. I mean wtf were they thinking. the game is definitely fun. on "mute"

As long as they don't do what Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 did and make it so you have to sit so close to the screen, that would be an advantage right there. But I'll never know, I haven't been excited about Mortal Kombat since it was on the Genesis or SNES and you could turn blood on.

LOL @ Aaron

I vote we ban Summa from all Nintendo related articles. Also take his Wii away. All he does is tie it to string and drag in in front of the schools, watching kids chase their dream into traffic.

That's sad.

I'm with twesterm, I cared about MK when it was out on the SNES and the blood was green. Then... I stopped caring and went with SF until I lost interest in fighting games in general. Soul Calibur on the DC got me back and then nothing since.

Um...

one of those in's is an it...

Whatever. Summa is a good journalist I just can't stand the flame bait any longer.

"vote we ban Summa from all Nintendo related articles. Also take his Wii away."

While you're at it take it away and ban DJ Wheat from talking about the Wii too.

Wheat you were so wrong about Phoenix Wright. I just beat it and it was awesome. Long live adventure games!

@Dymaxion

You mean so you could have played the Sonic game on the 360 instead? Trust me, you're not missing anything.

Sonic on the Wii is actually a good game if you can get used to the buggy controls. And the 70s rock music.

"Nobody ever cared about MK. Ever."

That's a joke, right? Not that I ever cared for it much but, when I was a lad, I knew kids who'd sacrifice their testicles for their beloved MK.

That looks like its going to be annoying as hell.

And with the wii remote's track record of pin point accuracy, I'm sure that this game is going to be great.....
....yeah

I shouldn't have bought a Wii, Miis are the new cabbage patch kid.

Mortal Kombat is the only fighting series that I actually care about. Having said that, I'm not real excited over the Wii version. Nothing against the Wii itself, I'm just looking to play games on it that I can't get anywhere else.

Okay, that and Virtual console games so I can reclaim the glory of my youth.

As much as I support Wii, won't gesture-based controls create some noticeable lag that will destroy competitive play?

Port-over bad, hasn't any developer learned that lesson yet? I haven't played my Wii in almost a month, Nintendo's going the way of PS3 launch, lack of good titles. There should be a Summa-meter to review Wii games, on some hate and love.

So if all of the special moves are so easy to do wont that result in people only using those moves?
It was like when you played against a kid in Street Fighter who knows how to do Hadouken. And ONLY used it.
