I think we've seen just about every agrument anti-videogames "crusaders" can throw at us haven't we?
Most of them can be proved wrong by one simple fact. I haven't killed anyone. I don't think I know anyone that's killed anyone but if I do it wouldn't be because of videogames. It would be because of alcohol.

GTA..violence is optional..no nudity (so far).

Compared to say..

God of War, where the violence is insane and there is actual nudity.

This is why I don't watch television news anymore.

I'm glad I live in Australia now, while we do get edited down video game violence, at least we don't get douche bag idiots talking about violence in video games and about video games in general when they have absolutely no idea what the fuck they are talking about.

So what you are telling is..

compared to the common controler of a game console.

the device known as the "child proof cap" created by the goverment to protect childern by being so complicated a child of certain age can not open it, yet is made for an adult to figure out with ease in goverment testing for a set amount of time.

So the adult in the same test when givin a device known as "common game controler" gives up before picking up the object letting the child win by default in it's operation?


So if an adult wanted to open a child proof cap bottle and wanted to see the contents of said bottle would be something the adult does not want the child to come in contact with.....

They would not try to operate the child proof cap and void all knowlage of it's contents and give it to the child and allow said child time to learn how to open the child proof cap and gain acesss and contect to it's contents since the adult did not know how to opreate the cap?

My question is, if video game bloggers are losers, what does that make us video game *readers?!* Or for that matter people who take the time to comment that video game bloggers are losers...

Gamasutra posted a study recently involving families with younger children, and the parents often commented on the complexity of the controls; I'm specifically referring to sections 3 and 4 of that article. As for your "child proof cap", I'm afraid that I'm having trouble seeing exactly what you're trying to get at.

Out of touch old guy who doesn't want to face the larger issues the US has which are actually responsible for all the bad things that have happened, instead he decides to jump on the bandwagon and point fingers at GTA.
I find it really weird that everyone keeps citing 'Picking up hookers and killing them with the baseball bat' as one of the deplorable acts in the game, every time someone mentions that I automatically think - "you haven't played the game".
The importance of video games and the continuing increase in the cultural importance of them is the biggest fear of these older generation people, they can barely keep up with the internet, throw video games into the mix and their heads will just explode.

Also, I think Cube is pointing out the irony that parents can open a "child-proof" cap, but somehow wouldn't be able to operate a game controller. Thus saying that it is ridiculous that a cap that their kids cannot open is not too complex, but the parents learning to play games their children play to judge the content for themselves is too complex.

At no point when then came out and I was in like pre- school or kindergrarten did I ever get the "A- button" confused with the word A and said A" sound rather than "AH" and neither did any other kids I was with so... If it was not a problem then why is the wii "A button" a threat to all children reading english text?
