Just Cause 2 is a great game to play to play around, but when you get down to the missions, you start to realize how repetitive the game is. I couldn't stand the game by the time I was done with it.

Which was probably at least 30-40 hours later. I'll admit, the game is repetitive to the maximum level. Thankfully you only need to complete 75% of it for a Platinum if that's you thing, but the game is awesome in a lot of ways that just makes the repetitive aspect not that big of a deal.

Just Cause 2 is still $25 on steam. I would hurry since the sale ends at Noon. But it was up for a good 4 days. It's nice but after awhile like every sandbox game I just can't play it anymore.

Also Supreme Commander 2 has been at $21 for awhile now on steam

Just Cause 2 is more than worth $60.

I spent twenty minutes pushing a rickshaw up a mountain with a firetruck the last time I played Just Cause 2. It was more interesting than anything related to the story, and while it was fun, I highly doubt that it was what anyone would want to do with their time.

JC:2 favorite experiment:

attaching a small car (Tuk Tuk somethingornother) to a 747 with cable, and letting it tow my Tuk Tuk all over the map, in the sky.

Bah, I live in Mexico and I can't change the delivery options, it's stuck in Priority International, so I would be paying the same for the game and delivery. Do not want.

My favorite weapons are the airplanes. I do nine elevenings all over the place when I play this. It's even more fun when you surf on top of them and jump off just before they hit.

Just Cause 2 is a lot of fun, but you can probably get as much enjoyment out of exploiting the timer on the demo. Doing so will make you want to play the full game but once you've got the full game you'll realize it's basically the exact same thing as the demo, just over a wider area and with one sweet scripted sequence right at the beginning.

For as huge as the world is it feels entirely lifeless. You run around doing the same 3 things over and over and every location might as well be interchangeable for all the difference it makes in gameplay. Maybe I just played the demo too much but the full game lost it's luster pretty fast after I picked it up and the whole thing is just kind of monotonous.

Plus it doesn't help that they don't properly adjust the controls for playing with L1/R1 to shoot, the only proper way to play a game on PS3.

I'd say pick it up at $20-25, but $37 seems a bit high.

JC:2 is well worth it at that price. The sheer vastness of the game world is pretty remarkable. But I can see how some might get bored with the game if they played it continuously--I've found it more rewarding to play JC:2 in relatively short spurts between other games.

Suggestion for JC2:
Buy it on a sale
Put mods in
Enjoy the hell out of it.

Seriously, the mods make it WELL worth the price I got it for during the Steam Summer sale. A mod you absolutely need: one that takes out the Black Market dealer cut-scenes...jesus christ...

That was absolutely, in every regard the most accurate description of JC2 I've ever read. I've got 20 hrs in and I never want to see that crap again.
