Man, I'm totally let down. I thought that was Tiger Woods modeling the Junpei hat. That would've been awesome.
Damn you Atlus, I wasn't planning to pick up P3P right away, since I already have Persona 3 and Persona 3: FES, but this is quite tempting. Too bad it's not the MC's headphones instead though, I'd buy the game just for that.

goddamn, I want that hat. I'm not a hat person, really, and I don't own a PSP, so this is hard to justify.
Pretty sweet lid. Not $40 sweet unfortunately. Maybe if I didn't already have a PS2 copy of Persona 3 that I'm never going to finish.
@MisterFox - They actually included his headphones as a bonus for the original release of Persona 3 in Japan IIRC. Presumably it cost more than a standard copy, but I'm pretty sure it was much cheaper than $300.

Actually, the specific brand of headphones the MC wears are: Audio-Technica ATH-EM7 GM clip-ons. If you look around, you can actually find them for pretty cheap (for headphones), around $40-$70. Ironically though, they don't work that well for the type of music that P3 has. Don't get me wrong, they're great headphones for just about everything (and look absolutely gorgeous) but the bass, while detailed, doesn't really "boom" the way I like my bass to. And considering most of P3's songs are hip-hop based...
But yeah, no way they could charged $300 for them. They originally cost $100 so even if they were just-released, the most Atlus could get away with charging is $100-$120 or so.

I'd honestly recommend them if you needed new headphones that are nicer than earbuds, but not as bulky as a full-sized pair. They're damn comfortable to wear, and the lack of "booming" bass and the leaking sound are really the only issues.
