Having never seen the Japanese movies, I'm most interested in what those look like. Too bad there aren't any costumes that give a nod to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It would have been an interesting addition, especially since Buffy usually had more clothes on.
That's pretty bad ass it's so many and you don't have to pay a dime for them. Reminds me of the good ol days before DLC.

That's all well and good, but I just hope people will buy it because it's (possibly) good, and not just because people want to support games with unlockables out of principle.

That's pretty encouraging to make these costumes unlockable when I fully expected them to be DLC. Even though I miss being able to unlock costumes as an encouragement to actually play games, but I've just about given up whining about them because publishers apparently just have to have that extra income stream.

Are you sure? Because I read somewhere else that the anime costumes would be a DLC pack. Please confirm this.
The pessimist in me is thinking, "This game will probably not be so hot." but the optimistic side says, "But..so many costumes."

Awesome, although it's pretty sad that we've come to a point where in game unlockables over DLC is something to get surprised and excited over.
I may buy this on principal alone. I don't hate DLC but I hate seeing it used for things that used to be goals and unlockables within the game. There used to be something to work towards.
Plus it's only $45 at Amazon, which will be a fantastic price if it turns out to be as fun as I'm hoping.

Well, maybe not the industry as a whole, but it shows that there are still some companies out there are aren't complete assholes to their consumers. So glad I pre-ordered this, especially now. Let's just hope the game is great as it looks.

Unlockable costumes! Oh, what a wonderful surprise in this era of paid Disc-Locked Content. Can't wait for this game!
Some of these costumes almost look like those flimsy excuses for action gear (read:butt floss) that Jean Claude Van Damme was sporting in most of those pictures posted in that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier contest thread.
Now, I'm thinking that Juliet needs fist tape covered in flaming glass, possibly made out of one of the tops taken from another costume. That or that pink spangly Easter bunny costume that JCVD wore in one of those photos.

If they want to appeal more to Westerners, how about a Lady Liberty costume or maybe a Nun/Quaker(or split the difference with a proper Goth costume) or even a Football player costume, depending upon which specific groups of Westerners they are trying to attract.
