Did anyone enjoy interacting with Liara in Mass Effect 2? She was likable in the first game, then shifted into something of a b*tch in the sequel. The next expansion for ME2, "Lair of the Shadow Broker," will have her joining Shepard and co. in battle and promises to explain the dramatic personality change.
The game's official site has a quick snippet of what to expect. Slight spoilers, I guess:
Two years ago, Commander Shepard died and Liara T'Soni fought in a desperate struggle against the Shadow Broker to recover her former Commander. Now that Shepard is back, it's time to even the score.
No word on pricing, a date, or any of that good stuff. Knowing how BioWare likes to cycle out this information, we shouldn't have to wait long for more details.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But really, I'm kinda' interested in this. Her story felt really forced in ME2 and I think this might help explain her rationale a bit more.
Last two were boring. I feel like a dirty whore having bought them.
On topic: I'm so glad Liara is coming back. I romanced her in the first game and was sorely disappointed to see it didn't cary over. It didn't stop me from screwing Tits McGee in ME2, but I do have a save file where I stayed true...
Really? You thought Overlord was boring? I was edge of my seat the whole time.
In other news, though, YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS MORE MASS EFFECT.
Hmm. I bet the Shadow Broker and the Illusive Man are part of the same agency, if not the same person. Just a wild guess on my part. ;)
Sorry. Boring is probably the wrong word. I did a short review on my blog. I guess I was just dissapointed because neither of the DLC missions take the story anywhere.
That said, teaming up with Liara could be very interesting. Hope more details come soon.
I think the comic book came between 1 and 2; this is definitely after 2, setting up a strike on the Shadow Broker. And yeah, I'm almost willing to put some money down on that one (TIM/Shadow Broker being the same guy.)
@jc83
Naw, nothing to apologize about; different strokes for different folks 'n all. I do hear what you're saying, though, and from the sound of it, BioWare IS looking to advance the story pretty soon.
@Jordan Tali is most definitely where it's at... For my male evil Shepard. My female good Shepard is all about Liara :)
That squad in the pic is definately the way to go!
Akward scene between liara and tali/garrus/whoever has got to be in there.

Not to say I wasn't put off at first. But I think the mood change was wholly reasonable and believable.
Definitely picking this one up.
I personally enjoyed the fact that Liara became badass. I like to think of it as me rubbing of on her.
Poor Choice of words. OR WAS IT?
Anyway, I loved the comics and I look forward to the DLC!
Hey bro, how much was Overlord?
Just sayin'.
*Spoiler*
The Shadow Broker is killed and Liara becomes the new one,
Apart from zaeed
That said, I've enjoyed just about all of ME2's DLC so I'll look forward to this one as well, if just because I want some DLC to actually start advancing the story towards ME3.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH
Tali or Liara. WHO TO CHOOSE.
