This reveal trailer for Hello Games' Joe Danger is great for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the game is oozing with colors I forgot even existed after years of gloomy-looking videogames. I admire the simplicity as well; sure, you're supposed to pull off mad trickz, but doing so looks intuitive.
And then there's the fantastic music. Is it just me, or does that song sound like a mix between something you'd hear in Yoshi's Island and Wario Land? It really fits the whole vibe of Joe Danger, which reminds me of the mindless fun you'd get from cheerful 16-bit-and-older games.
Lastly, Nick was quoted in the trailer, which is always cool to see. His reaction: "pretty neat." Dude isn't even phased by the news. That's our Nick.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. A PSN and XBL multiplat title then? Looks cool. I really like the create-share games, not that I make much tracks myself, but I like that developers are encouraging people to be creative and take part of a community.
I played it a while back at Eurogamer, but it was a pretty fun little game. It'll invite comparisons with the 'Trials' games but it's very much its own sort of thing. Bloody cheerful too.
Looks fantastic. There's a very similar game about to come out on the iPhone called Daredevil Dave. I did a LBP level last year you may want to check out (most people on here seem to be LBP fans too!) called "King of the Stuntmen(The Evel Kenevel Story)"
