Jinkies: Scooby-Doo! First Frights announced photo

Oh, now I get why the hot, upcoming Scooby-Doo! game is titled First Frights. That’s a little Shaggy and a baby Scooby-Doo in the header. Oh, Warner Brothers, will you ever run out of zany ideas?

Ehem. Anyway, today Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment announced Scooby-Doo! First Frights for the Wii, Nintendo DS, and the PlayStation 2. It’s described in the press release as an action adventure game that covers the teenage timeline of the Scooby-Doo universe. (This is before Shaggy discovered marijuana. I think.)

The game is hitting shelves this fall and apparently will “complement” a movie release. Who knew? Scooby-Doo is still relevant. Apparently.

Woa, what the fuck. The scooby gang are NOT supposed to fight harmless fuckers with scary costumes. That's like breaking the golden rule in the Scooby cartoon. They're supposed to run away for no damn reason except for the the fact that they're gullible cowards. You'd think that after over a hundred mysteries solved, they'd catch on the fact that they're not monsters but stupid fuckers who tries to use lame scare tactics to get what they want instead of using a gun. Speaking about guns, does it ever occur to them to bring some weapons or at least a club? Let's hope they don't dance like retards in the game like they did in the cartoons.

Don't they already have a cartoon based on this concept?

Wow. Have we finally returned to baby versions of everything. Muppet Babies, Looney Tunes Babies, that episode of the Mario Brothers where they turned into babies. I'm sick of babies.

NO MORE BABIES.

C'mon, the only decent game with "Scooby Doo" in its title is "Scooby Doo! Classic Creep Capers" for the Game Boy Color. And the "Pup named Scooby Doo" series was nice, at least for me.

Shaggy looks like Chucky... And yeah, what about A Pup Named Scooby-Doo? This is garbage, of course I'm not a little kid so this isn't meant for me anyways...

I love how the "timeline of the Scooby-Doo universe" jumps from the early 90's to the 70's.

So it's going to be like every modern Scooby game in which we fight monsters instead of running from them?

They look a bit older than in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo... Why is this called First Frights then?

Also... I finally get to play as Velma and she's jailbait... Great...

I think I like young Velma better (I know APNSD is more bearable than the original, massively groan-inducing its vocal songs are).
