This week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Reggie Fils-Aime once again made a guest appearance, this time to showcase The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Not only did Jimmy get some early playtime alongside the Meat Man, he also received a special video message from Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and Nintendo composer Koji Kondo. In addition, he was gifted one of the first molds of First 4 Figures' Link on Epona statues, which won't be made available until next year.

How does Jimmy repay this undeserved generosity? He swings the sword around like a spastic chimp and ignores all of Reggie's gameplay assistance! I would kill to get my hands on a $425 figurine for free, Jimmy! You don't deserve that statue, Jimmy! You are making my cry into my Cheerios, Jimmy!

Uh, he's an idiot. That whole "don't you fight dragons?" part revealed how little he knows about Zelda (he's thinking Skyrim?) and video games in general.

You're right, he doesn't deserve that beautiful statue.

As a counterpoint, how many other hosts of shows like this give video games the amount of attention he does?

Not saying I like the guy, just playing devil's advocate.

I'm gonna be soooo mad if it's Iwatas head that rolls and not Reggie's.

NoJ and NoE release games, Reggie. Less time on TV, more on getting those games out.

People think showing video games on late night shows hosted by immature imbeciles does anything positive to the image of gaming? It's a multi-billion dollar industry. All this guy does in regards to gaming is perpetuate the image of adolescence.

Furthermore, how do people like guy?

Man Reggie is a bad salesman. It was obvious that Jimmy was trying to play the game like Twilight Princess. What Reggie failed to mention AT ALL was the one-to-one controls that the Motion+ offers. If he spent 20 seconds in the beginning showing that off, I think the presentation would have went a lot smoother.

This game looks totally tits.

What's with this "he's a gamer!" shtick? Games are played by more people than ever. That's supposed to create some kind of bond? How many millions of people bought CoD this week?

Nothing this guy does gives any kind of beneficial perception toward gaming, and more importantly, "gaming" sad a whole doesn't need it. It's outpacing the film industry in many regards.

Jimmy Fallon does NOT deserve to live, let's break into his home so we can drink all of his eggs and milk, and then break his legs. We can then steal his Link statue, and cut it up into little pieces and divide it equally amongst ourselves.

Can we steal The Roots, throw Fallon in the Hudson, then start "Late Night with Jim Sterling"? I'd watch that. Him fucking Sonic would give the Masturbating Bear a run for its money.

Clown Baby just dropped a logic bomb on all of Y'all.

Also I just had an epiphany, if we push Jim Fallon into a wood-chipper and then we all eat him, we can then gain his powers and then Nintendo will give all of us free statues. It's the perfect crime.

So many levels of wrong .....

then again Jimmy is as deserving of that statue as Reggie is of running NOA..... so maybe two extreme wrongs cancel each other out?

Oh crap I just remembered that I'm a vegetarian so I can't eat him. Hmmm .....what to do?... What to dooo?.... AHA GOT IT! I will marry Jimmy Fallon. After we are married I will convince him to take me to Sea World on a romantic date, and then when no one is looking I will push him into the killer whale tank where he will get eaten alive by Shamoo. It's the perfect crime.

We should all kidnapp the Meat Man and torture him until he reveals the Epona stautes' cargo location. Fallon is just a failing flesh puppet who just likes to shout FIRST.

That's where you're wrong after we are married and he is passed away I will have access to his link/epona statue, and all the glory will be mine. I also have a back up plan in case he survives the Shamoo attack. If he survives it I will accuse him of being a Whale-f*cker, after I do that I will demand a divorce. In my settlement I will ask for the statue and one-million baby carrots. It's the perfect crime.

He was a cast member from Saturday Night Live who laughed in every skit but could pull off a range of weird voices, did a bunch of shitty comedy movies, then someone became the host of his own talk show.

Do people here legitimately think that "putting video games on tv" is doing anything positive for gaming? If it were ubiquitously down as commonplace and normal on tv, it might lose any stigma, but having this farce showcase gaming does nothing more than perpetuate the association of immaturity with gaming.

Furthermore, why do any of you think gaming needs ant kind of publicity. It's seriously encroaching on Hollywood's numbers, yet you people are acting as if your own self worth and identity are tethered to how video games (which is as generic and wide sweeping as any term can get) are portrayed. Between WoW garnering millions upon millions of subscriptions and CoD breaking day-one sales of any entertainment medium to date, are you all so self absorbed into your insular view of video games that you associate your self worth with TV time of your favorite hobby?

I would have figured having a person making a fool of himself, and arguably making the acceptance of video games as normal, not spectacle, more difficult would be the last kind of publicity your ego would want... But it appears do many people here can't see past the most simplistic form of pandering. "It's cool because he put a video game on tv, guys!"

/facepalm
