Jillian Michaels' next Fitness Ultimatum has a story photo

I thought that the whole point of an ultimatum was to make a final decision one way or another. It isn't the sort of thing you should have to do several times. And yet, Jillian Michaels is going to repeat this behavior for a third time.

But Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2011 will be different from its predecessors in a key aspect. Developer Collision Studios has decided to implement a story mode. Check out this description from the press release we received (because I couldn't possibly make this up):

...Jillian and the player use fitness skills and nutritional expertise in a series of missions to shut down Cureall, an evil food and drug corporation set upon world domination.

Like, I don't even know where to begin. All I have to say is that Valve had better watch their backs. With plot lines like this being developed, their status as being narrative innovators is seriously threatened. Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2011 will release on Wii this Fall.

There are few things that make me pull a true, spontaneous "Spock" with my eyebrows.

This was one of those things.

Followed by contemptuous laughter.

I think this is a great idea. As silly as these games may seem to us hardcore gamers, the demographic this is produced for and the customers who will eventually buy this game are going to get more than a menu for selecting different minigames or whatever you do in this thing. It adds a little extra fun to the title (which is probably needs!)

Will part of the story explain her man-face?

I wouldnt say Valve are a narrative innovator. They make extremely good games, but the Half Life series was pretty much your standard action/adventure shooter with a gravity gun, L4D1/2 didn't have that much narrative unless you hunted it down on bathroom walls and GLADoS was just a murderous bitch you needed to escape from.

@NiNFAN1990: You're confusing "narrative" with "plot" I think. A narrative is the conveyance of a story, whereas a plot is the specific sequence of events within a narrative. Valve innovates not with the content of their stories but the manner in which they are told.

I can see how you would totally miss my meaning in the story above because I wrote a very clumsy sentence.
