Giant characters are nothing new for the Super Smash Bros. series but not like this. Not like this.
It seems that in Smash Bros. for 3DS, Yoshi's Egg Lay move has the ability to make large CPU characters even larger in Multi...more
Compliments of an Amazon listing, we now know what the Super Smash Bros. Wii U bundle will look like. It consists of the game, a GameCube controller adapter hub, and a branded GameCube controller for $99.99.
I think I'm going to pick the hub up at least, so I can bust it out for Smash parties later this year. It'll be BYOW -- Bring Your Own Wavebird.

Super Smash Bros. and I go back a long way. When the first game was released in 1999, I didn't drive. Heck, I didn't even have a Nintendo 64 at that time. But I had a Smash Bros. addiction, and would spend hours upo...more
The North American release for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is just a week away, and Nintendo is celebrating its highly competitive fighting game with a tournament. The initial rounds will be held at 15 GameStop locat...more
It's public knowledge at this point that the Ice Climbers were removed from Smash Bros. 3DS because of hardware limitations. Because Sakurai wanted complete character parity between the 3DS and Wii U, they were taken ou...more
I mean, yeah, what else would you expect? It's Super Smash Bros.
Nintendo's television spots for the 3DS game feature the tagline "Settle it in Smash," which is a good fit for the series, admittedly, but I'm far more interested in that Doc Louis cameo.more

Originally, the "Pic of the Day" series that Super Smash Bros. producer Sakurai has been running on the Miiverse was only supposed to run for a few months. But due to overwhelming fan demand, the series continues, and wi...more
As we previously found out, the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. 3DS is banning people for playing Peach online during competitive matches -- presumably because it mistook her turnip for an item hack.
Nintendo is no...more
I've seen some absurd ad spots but this one may take the cake. Sears has posted a 3DS advertisement that not only sounds like it belongs in the 1920s (step right up!), but also contains some purely false information.
Nintendo has a New 3DS TV spot making the rounds, and it shows off some strange new outfits for some iconic Nintendo characters. I'm talking top hat Link, King Pikachu, and a Bowser that's too swanky for his own good.
Legend of Legacy sounded pretty good on paper. Honestly, I'm easy ; they had me at '3DS RPG' already. But look at it! Look at that pop-up environmental effect! That music! Watercolors! Shading! Big heads! The games' &n...more
