Japanese Elevator Action Deluxe website opens photo

Square Enix has opened the Japanese website for Elevator Action Deluxe, giving us a look at… the classic arcade title.

Right now, the teaser site only has a Flash animation that shows off visuals from the original early-80s arcade title. The words "He'll be back" appear as the animation comes to a close, and we're left hanging with some questions. Will this be a straight port, or can we expect a modern take on the classic?

My guess is the latter, but we'll have to wait and see. Given that a teaser site is now live, a full reveal should be coming soon enough. Another interesting note is that it may be a PlayStation Network exclusive -- there's not a single mention of another console on the game's page.

People forget how ground breaking this was for an early 80s game. Shooting out lights, hiding behind doors, crushing spies with the elevator. This has the potential to be a blast. I never tried Returns but it has me intrigued.
